Just checked and my Verizon preorder that's been sitting in Memphis since last Saturday just departed Memphis about 20 minutes ago. Definitely will be here tomorrow. Helps that I'm having it delivered somewhere that's only 5 minutes from the FedEx distribution center!

Talking to my local Verizon store they do not expect to have any 6+ they told me to hang on to my pre order.

Mine is still sitting in Memphis. I guess the flight to Minneapolis hasn't left yet.

Just wow.

Seems like the scenario I was in when I asked about the Edge Up program - as in how much I would have to pay on my old device. Said I had to pay it off completely. I told her no, I can pay off half the device, then send the old one in, I just need to know how much I owe and how to send it back. She argued with me and said she knew what she was talking about, and I was wrong. Told her to get clarification from her supervisor. Eventually I got the information I needed and she was quite humble after that...

You too?? I'm still simmering after they cancelled my order. I wcalled in to get it rebuilt & get a spot in line and the financial lady told me I had to pay off 400+ on my phone to get a new one. I told her I wanted to edge up and she said it wasn't possible unless the phone's paid off entirely...they didn't know what they were talking about.

Why is everyone in here getting worried about where the package is departing from???

People do understand what next day air service is right? They don't drive it to you across the country. Even if it's in Florida and you're in Washington... it's what 5 hour flight? What makes you worried about getting it in the next 24 hours?

Next day service is pretty common. They know how to deliver packages for next day across the country on time...

My order is still in process with a 10/14 delivery date. I ordered a 6+ SG 16GB 15 minutes after preorder opened. I guess I'll resign myself to the fact that my phone will not be here tomorrow -- or possibly ever, given that Verizon keeps moving dates around.

Just typed a nice long post, hit send, got told I wasn’t logged in, logged back in, post is gone >.< Not a great start to the day.

After my “Edge Up” pre-order, in before the first 30 minutes had passed, I was told delivery on 9/19

Upon receiving my pre-order confirmation email that didn’t arrive until 1:42pm PST, I was told delivery on 10/7

As of this morning my Verizon pre-order status is finally showing up on the website as 10/14

I don’t really believe that as my account’s order history page still only returns an error.

I sort of understand this:

-4 million phones sold in the first 24 hours?
-That’s 166,667 phones an hour
-And 2,778 phones a minute
-Which means that by the time my order was actually in 283,343 phones had sold
-But there are two sizes of phone this year, three colors per size, and three capacities per color, for a total of 18 variations
-Per variation if we just cut the number needed equally, that’s 15,741

But let’s be honest, we all suspected (and now know) that production for the 6 Plus lagged behind the 6, we all know that Space Grey is the most popular color in the West (where the pre-orders were opened), and we all know that the largest capacity is always the least produced.

I just so happened to pre-order an iPhone 6 Plus in Space Grey with 128 GB of storage >.<

So yeah I sort of understand the predicament, and yet I’m not happy about it. As I need to be able to “Edge Up,” I’m wondering if I’ll have any other retail avenues available tomorrow aside from Verizon Wireless? There is one Verizon store I know of, but two local Apple Stores. There’s also Best Buy, Walmart, Sam’s Club… Does anyone know if “Edging Up” can be done in any of these other locations?

Thanks!

I'm in the same boat as you. Mine was submitted 11 mins after pre-orders launched.

I ordered 9/13 with shipment expected by 10/14.

Just checked my order on verizon's website it still states that my order is "in process," but the shipment date has been updated to 9/19.

Still no tracking number and I believe the chat is currently down.

Are you a new customer? I went and opened an account on 9/13 around 1pm PST and I went from 10/7 to not available now back to 10/7 :(. Hopefully I get some movement like yours. What did you order btw?

So, I am a crazy person and I may have found the flight my phone should be on. If I'm right it should be departing Memphis in about 40 minutes. So exciting!

****ing sucks. i also have a 10/14 date now even though when i call they keep telling me 10/7.

Starting to get worried now.

  • 6+ 64gb space gray
  • received two conf. emails stating my order will be delivered by 9/19
  • my corporate account states a delivery by 9/19 and status is 'completed'
  • card was charged 9/12, an hour after I made the order at 3:25am
  • status has never changed to a later date, other than the 19th

Despite all of this, I have not received an email with shipping/tracking info, my online account status does not show any shipping/tracking info either. Unless they pull a late night 'Amazon' style shipping notification, I'm having doubts I'll be getting mine tomorrow. :(

Where my Houston peeps at? Mine shows that it is still in Kentucky...

I am in Texas- San Antonio.
My phone is actually in Memphis for 4 hours now- I know mine is going to a warehouse in Dallas first before it comes here- they also moved the delivery time from by 3:00pm to by 8:00pm...
Still it's progress...

I'm in Minneapolis too. Just checked progress, and at 3:49 pm central time, my iPhone departed FedEx location Memphis. It's on its way!

Just saw it! Our phones are on the same plane. :p

The flight is about 2 hours long non stop, so we should see another update in 3 hours or less I imagine. Unless it's not flying. It's only a 13 hour drive, so it could be on a truck I guess, but that would be cutting it close as I imagine it takes around 15 hours to drive it with stops. So I bet it's on a plane.

I was in the same boat up until 11:00 PM PDT last night. That's when I finally received a tracking number. I did call yesterday afternoon just to make sure that there was no hold on my order. The CSR that helped me stated my order was "Complete, On-Hold", i.e. it was completed but waiting for shipment. Before all that I only received the original pre-order confirmation email, and then finally the tracking email yesterday. This was for two 6+ 128GB Space Gray phones.
