I think they just keep calling until the VZW man-hours they have wasted is worth just bumping their phones.

I got the same note. Nice heavy stock paper he's using this year. It reminds me of the type of paper stock used to make wedding invitations. Nice Apple embossing on the header.

It seems like you've never tracked a package before. They know what they're doing. A lot happens during the very late hours of the day. It'll be there on Friday.
 
My iphone 6 128gb space grey was at the Memphis Fed Ex location since Saturday- Today it made its way to Oakland- tomorrow is the day.

I am hoping it arrives to my job before my meetings start.

What he's describing isn't actually a package to track yet. All he has, and I have for that matter, is a label scan from verizon. So, how exactly can UPS give a delivery date guarantee? They can't. Until you see the package arrive at UPS, somewhere, there really is nothing you can estimate.

So, when you say "they know what they're doing", in this case, we're still talking about Verizon as "they".... not UPS...

I agree, a lot can happen during the late hours, but it's on Verizon at this point, which is at the very least, worrisome..

Mine still stuck in Newark with "Shipment information sent to FedEx". Final destination is Orlando. Still says deliver by tomorrow.

9/22 thread should come first... for those of us with shipments that for whatever reason didn't make it, got re-routed, etc, despite having been given tracking numbers...

Me. Sitting here watching people freaking out because their phones MIGHT be a day late and stalking the flights/couriers...I'm not really feeling much pity :D

Oddly enough, I ordered my Silver 6 64gb about 12:30 (just after noon EST) on the 12th over the phone. My delivery date is tomorrow via FedEx by 8pm. I live in NC an hour south of the Virginia Beach FedEx distribution center. My phone has been sitting in Newark, NJ Since Monday night/Tuesday morning with no movement. Since I had foot surgery today and am home with nothing to do, I will be waiting impatiently for my phone. If anyone wants to come and drink Bushmills tomorrow and wait with me, I have nothing else goi on. LOL

Not only have I "tracked a package" before, I use UPS daily (literally every day) ... And it's that experience that tells me this doesn't look good.

As you mentioned - We actually have a status of: Still with Verizon but with a UPS label created and, presumably, on the box.

i.e. It's gone nowhere and UPS estimates for it mean nothing right now. (all as you said)
 
iPhones Sitting in NJ

Just got off the phone with Fedex. I am in Ohio and they tell me that they are swamped to moving packages. She told me that they are being moved to either Philly or Pittsburgh, then to Memphis. For mine, its being sent to Cleveland.
