When the phone comes do not turn it on. Take the SIM card out of your iPhone 5 and put it in the iPhone 6, this will activate the iPhone 6 on your line. If your wife is taking your iPhone 5 you will take her SIM card and put it in the iPhone 5. If your wife isn't switching phones than you do not need to do anything with her phone/line/SIM.

Do I need to call customer service at all, or just once I put the new SIM card in from my old iPhone 5 I can just turn it on?

I haven't been this excited about a phone for a long time.
 
Ordered a 16GB 6+ literally 15 minutes after preordering started... still don't have a tracking number and estimate says 10/14. :(

AND there are people on this forum that ordered the same device AFTER me and have already had theirs shipped. :mad:
 
My 6 just landed (FedEx) about 10 minutes ago; delivery for tomorrow by 8PM, hopefully it's much much earlier. Hopefully others start getting theirs "close" to them so they can go as nuts as I will for the rest of the night :cool:

Yes I feel your pain this whole thing from Apples web site being down, to verizon f ing up so many peoples orders is ridiculous, and to top it off I see that a majority of people just ordered instantly through their apple store app that's how they got through during all the errors, well if you didn't currently have an Iphone I guess Apple is playing favorites.
 
I still don't see how you guys are getting this done, I have tried multiple times to do this as well, my order was placed in the early morning of the 12th sometime shortly after 12 am had the ecpd error had the fraud department error, and my order was delayed until 5:17am PST and yet they still refuse to do anyhting. What gives??:mad:

Are you being kind, polite, respectful, and cordial or are you being strong voiced, rude, demanding, and insisting that they owe you?
 
Got my tracking number as well! 6+ SG 128gb. Also picked up in West Chester, PA for delivery on 9/19. I'm in Houston, TX. Location code 1456801. Order number 103XXXX.

Your's still in New Jersey? Mine went from PA to NJ. I'm also near Houston.

I have to say, I'm starting to get a bit pessimistic here.

This feels very much like a "late pickup" tomorrow AM sometime that ends up delivery Sat/Monday to me.

It's already 8:30 Eastern.
Phones should be going somewhere by now one would think if they really are going to be delivering/held for pickup in the AM.
