I Pre-Ordered late, on 9/18/14.
When I check the status of mine, it simply says:
Order Status: Your order is processing. Your shipping details will be available soon.
It doesn't even give me an 'expected' ship date or anything. Therefore, I have no clue if my ship date may or may not move up, because it doesn't even show a ship date at all. It sounds as though a few of you are getting the same thing?

No, Verizon will not activate a Sprint phone. So even if the technology was compatible the phone wouldn't be allowed on Verizon's network. If the IMEI/MEID is not in Verizon's database as a phone they sold, no soup for you.

That is what I did (see post above). I preordered the 6 plus and I am on the Edge program.
What makes you feel that your order was not successful? Now you have me really curious.

No. If you're talking about the vzw iP6+ then it can be used on all GSM. It cannot be used with Sprint.
Cancelled my "preorder" which was nothing short of a hoax. Verizon lied to it's most loyal customers and sold more phones than they had in hand. That is not what a preorder is. I ordered at 12:16am PST. 6+ 128gb SG. Conf email at 1:26am. Order screen showed 9/19 delivery. Conf email showed 10/7. Current exp ship is 10/10. I walked into a local VZW store on 9/19 and bought a 6 64gb SG. Plus was way to big anyway. FU VZW!

It's not that it wasn't successful. I preordered my phone through Verizon. I was on a 2 year contract and switching to EDGE and they gave me a shipping date of 10/24. My current phone is on it's last wire. I want to cancel my preorder with Verizon and order it through apple for pickup but I don't want to do it if apple doesn't support Verizon Edge. I've just been hearing online that you can only do it if you're a new customer but I was wondering if Apple will do it even for upgrades? Was yours an upgrade?

Mine was completed via VZW, and I was already on the Edge program, and was "edging up".
I have NO clue if Apple supports new Edge customers...
But I hate this wait.
Went into a VZ store today to see the phones first hand. I asked when they were getting shipments in for walk-in purchases and they told me "November". I expressed doubt that they were not receiving any shipments beyond pre-orders, but that's what they said.
I pre-ordered, but was hoping to pick one up by walking in this week.
I could go to the Apple store, but they don't offer the $60 single line plan there.

Same thing at my local Verizon store. Sold out of every Iphone model and I was told they are "backordered" and not to expect in-store stock until November!

FWIW, I ordered also between 3:15-3:20 est. location code W779301. 6 64gb gold & 6 Plus 64gb SG with a 10/3 date. Got fedex shipping info today! Estimated delivery tomorrow!!!

Not a word, jabba jabba! Hoping for some movement over the next 24 hours. I'm thinking that there's probably some differentiation between location codes too -
Same thing with my order. Ordered 9/14 @ 9am on VZW.com was quoted "deliver by 10/14" on the order confirmation email. My order status online is only "Your order is processing. Your shipping details will be available soon."

I ordered the same phone as you in the same five minute window and have the same location code. No movement or charge so far. It does look like it's the 10/3 6s that are starting to move though, not necessarily the Pluses.
Apple isn't set up to do Edge for Verizon - only the ATT version. I've done 4 phones on my family account and had to do them through VZW or Best Buy.
Well I hope they at least take care of the pre-orders before shipping more units to stores. I ordered a 6 on 09/14 with an initial date of 10/07, which was moved up to 10/03 but nothing else since. I have called around to several Verizon stores and they all told me that they will not be getting in any more until the pre-orders are filled. Fingers crossed that it's true.
