VZW Order Status Thread

My point is when you pre order something you should get it on the date they relse it in the store not 30 days down the road or longer.

Pre Orders shoul be sent out before anyone gets theirs in the store that is the point or pre orders

How much are they going for? I'm sick of selling on craigslist, I used gazelle or sellmymac.com even though they offer less than selling on CL. CL just not worth dealing with the flakes and people giving you super low offers so they can turn around and resell it.

I actually use CL myself and after sifting through the "I'm sending you a money order and giving you 40$+ for holding it for me" folk I sometimes get reasonable people and they generally negotiate and try to lower it 10-30$ from the price I had posted. That's why I put it at a bit of a higher price than usual therefore leading them to give me the exact mark up I'm looking for. This past week I sold an old white 5 32g for 270$ and they don't even make those phones anymore. I was asking 3 hundo but I settled none the less. I'm going to sell my SG iPhone 5s 32g for roughly 400$ and even out with this recent purchase of the 6+ fingers crossed!

Did you check on Apples site? They have many 6 configurations available for pick up or delivery on the 19th.

I was just looking, dang now I might go that route. Just have to deal with the flakes I guess.

I ordered at 3:18 and have a ship date of 10/14. How much sooner could I get it if I ordered through Apple? I'm going on vacation on October 11th so I'm definitely canceling my preorder.

thats Apple not Verizon 2 differnt stores but thats not my point like I was saying when you pre oder something you inspect to get it on the date it comes out in stores not 30 days or more down the road and it is unfair to us who pre order it when they give it to everyone else 1st

also the phone is thew Verizon;s edge up that cant be ordered thew apple

...but they don't have enough stock for everyone to have one on launch day.

If your order says deliver by 10/28, you're probably better off going and getting in line if you want it Friday. I doubt your order will be bumped up by over a month.
 
I ordered a gold 16gb iPhone 6 Plus at 301am EST (1201am PST) and have an estimated shipping date of 10/14. Of course I would like it by 9/19 but I am not going to get bent out of shape over it. It is just a phone. It will get here when it gets here. The iPhone 5 I have now will work just fine until 10/14. Hakuna Matata. Patience is a virtue that I fully embrace.
 
the main problem is this is a gift for my G/F's Birthday with is this mounth not next

if they dont have anoth in stock then they should stop selling them until all pre orders are sent out 1st & thats my point

As I understand it, VZ has all the device ID's and sim ID's for every device either in the inventory, or are committed to the inventory before they get there physically.

For all those iPhones they have a commitment to receive from Apple, that info is in the system already. They use that info for the product page when you order. This is why folks have been receiving receive by dates for 9/19 for the plus's; but no tracking info yet. This tells the the physical product is on the way to Big Red.

Yeah, i think this is exactly what is happening. I don't think they physically have the plus 128gb shipment yet. Otherwise, at least one or two woulda been charged and shipped. They might know what's coming already, but my gut says they don't have it yet.

Yes, the model I want will ship in 7-10 days per Apple's site. However, my question is strictly regarding Verizon, as you must purchase your phone from Verizon if you want the trade-in promotion they are offering.

Do carrier stores like Verizon typically have any sort of decent release date stock?

I have no idea. Go in a store and ask. They'd give you a better answer than calling CS.

This is my first time pre-ordering with Verizon. In the past I've always gone through Apple.

I think the point is that at the time you placed your preorder, if the page said it wouldn't ship until October, why are upset you're not getting it on 9/19?
 
I ordered space grey 16GB iPhone 6 at about 2:55am ET on 9/12. Didn't receive confirmation email, but after talking to customer service was able to get preorder confirmation number and assurance that all was correct and phone was scheduled to ship by 9/19.

On Friday night my credit card was charged. On Saturday I received email from Verizon with FedEx tracking number. Email said scheduled to arrive on 9/19. FedEx website says scheduled to arrive on 9/18. Today, Sunday, FedEx tracking shows that phone has moved on the next step in it's journey and arrival date is now 9/19. "Future Delivery Requested" has been noted on FedEx tracking from the beginning, so I thought the date would change, ensuring that no one gets their phones early.

One thing I learned through this process is that you may have to talk to more than one Verizon representative to get correct and useful information. I talked to three of them and online chatted with one. Last one could actually look at my confirmation email and seemed to genuinely want to help but couldn't resend it! I've received excellent service in past, so they must have either hired brand new people to handle the iPhone rush and not trained them or trained everyone to not be helpful. Just getting a confirmation number took two calls. I learned that "telesales" is where online order info goes, but you don't actually ever get to talk to anyone there, nor do customer care reps.

To get my 5s last year I ended up canceling my Verizon order after delivery was delayed for a month and I bought my phone at a Best Buy three days after the release date.
 
Just got an email from Verizon that stated payment didn't go through. Called them up, got an rep immediately who retried the payment and it worked. Great service via Verizon.
 
I'm wondering those of you who live in ARK/LA/TX area, have you received your shipping confirmation? I'm in LA and my order confirmation email states deliver by 9/19. Temp auth on CC morning of order, fell off. Back on just today. I'm just thinking there is probably a warehouse in DFW so we may not get tracking til later in the week. Can anyone confirm or comment?

Yea I just think gazelle and the stores themselves offer too low of a price. Even if that person you sell it to ends up reselling it which in most cases is the scenario. As long as you're content with the amount you received that's all that matters. Plus selling it yourself vs giving into the other routes always ends up being a higher payout.

As for the 5, I just sold mine this past week on Craig's. I had your same exact model I was looking for $300 but the buyer offered $270 so I took it. If you see anything higher than $250 personally I'd take it.
 
Ordered iPhone 6+ 128GB without contract at midnight on the 12th.
Got a 6+ case yesterday in the mail

Realized it was too damn big to comfortably carry it around gym/work/house etc.
Cancelled and placed an order over the phone with verizon this morning for iPhone 6 128GB without contract

2 hours later got shipping and tracking info.

Kind of surprised how quickly verizon shipped it. :)
