VZW Order Status Thread

Yeah, I'm just super glad I got a tracking number, that shows hopefully that we'll be getting our phones Friday
My tip to you is to have faith and not over analyze the shipping 2ND DAY AIR part. The reason being I went through VZW for the 4s and 5 pre-order years ago. I distinctly remember the 5 pre-order because I had the same anguishing dilemma of no CC charges up until just before midnight on the Weds before shipping. I got my tracking number on the Thursday (1 day before release day) in the morning and tracking too said 2ND DAY. This meant I'd have it on Saturday, which freaked me out as ONE day after instant-gratification-Friday-launch-day was unacceptable! I also called in, to attempt to obtain a VZW CS re-reassurance and they told me that I'd get it the NEXT day and to ignore the 2 Day thing. Sure enough, I had it the next day, granted it delivered nearly at the end of the day at 5-6PM.
This year, VZW seems to be processing orders earlier (Sat/Sun/Mon), instead of Tues/Weds/Thurs, during the iPhone 5 pre-order of 2012.
Oh and to add some personal experiences regarding "early expected shipping dates", such as those with Sep 18 delivery dates. FedEx WILL Hold it! Doesn't matter what their website says as there IS a strict hold on the delivery. For the iPhone 4S pre-order, Fedex WAS actually AT the curb at the front of my house, getting out of the vehicle on a Thursday (1day before release day), when the delivery gal scanned the package and climbed back into her truck and drove off! The website went from OUT FOR DELIVERY to EXCEPTION HOLD REDELIVERY NEXT DAY. I tried in vain to call in to the local depot to arrange a pick-up, but they said NO.

Mine did too. My guess is Verizon usually uses FedEx but due to the volume they're also using UPS for the iPhone 6 rollout
9/12 around 3:20 am EST. I got that error message (I forget what it is exactly EDCP or something like that) a few times before I could order. Got my confirmation email at 4:53 am EST and my card showed the full price pending last night.
One inconsistency that I see is that when I click on the order number on the right side of the 'My Verizon page' under 'Notifications' it pops up the details of the order, where it says Shipment Date '9/14/14' but when I'm just on the main order status page it says '9/18/14.'

That' my guess, I have never seeen Verizon use for UPS for any of my phone shipments, including iPhone preorders. Looks like these phones are selling a lot more then the previous itirations.

Has anyone ordered BOTH a iPhone 6 Plus 128GB in Space Gray & Gold and received tracking?
I'm starting to think the gold 128GB + may be the cuase of my holdup, I ordered before 3am, got the email with the 19th as the date, but other than a $1 charge, haven't seen any updates.

By rights ATT buyers ahould have our phones before anyone else because ATT was the only online vendor taking orders for 2 hours after sales began at midnight PST on the 12th. I realize that human beings are involved so that probably wont happen.
P.S. Please do not ask me clever questions that only have absurd responses. I don't want to be drawn into a rationalist argument. I know my views are often irrational. For the risks of equating rationalism with truth see the
arguments against motion made by Zeno of Elea and also Nietzsche's views on thought:

I ordered the Plus Gold 64gb and my order confirmation says 10/7. Thinking if you got more than 16gb you are waiting longer
Huh? The AT&T iPhone is a different version then the Verizon one, they are two different phones. One's preorders have nothing to do with the others.

I got the gold + 16gb and my date is 10/14.
It kinda just makes me mad. Whats the point of the preorder if you wont get the phone until weeks after it comes out, doesnt that defeat the whole purpose of a preorder ya know? It has happened since the Iphone4 figured by now they would be prepared.
A. Different phones, so it doesn't matter.
B. My order was complete by 3:10 est, so that isn't accurate anyway.
Order successfully completed (verizon website): 9/12 at 3:06:26am EDT. (6+, 64GB, Space Grey, order number 108XXX)
Preorder confirmation email received 9/12 at 4:36am EDT.
Card was billed last night around 10:30pm EDT.
Got UPS tracking number email today, 9/15 at 11:22am EDT. UPS tracking number "not found" on UPS website (not going to be worried about that till thursday)
My preorder status has said basically "unavailable" for the ship date since friday evening. About an hour or so after I got the preorder confirmation (roughly 6:00am EDT) it said 10/7, then later that morning (after 9am) it said 10/13, then friday evening around 4pm it started with the "unavailable".
Preorder confirmation email received 9/12 at 4:36am EDT.

I ordered the 6 plus 64gb gold as well and my order is schedule to be delivered on 9/18 which will probably be 9/19. My order is paid for and I have tracking info
So far, all I've gotten is a confirmation email.. which I received at 2:59AM EST.
I'm being told it'll be here by September 19th, but I have no tracking number nor progress on the order page.
I go to check my order status, and it tells me that "Currently, you have no orders shipped within the last 21 days."
And whenever I check my preorder status, it says
"Here is the status of your Pre-Order:
We received your order and it is in process. Expected Ship Date: Not available at this time."
Hmm..
it certainly is strange that those who were first to purchase are among the last to see updates. I do live in NY, would that have any possible affect on this? I ordered mine around 3:45am EST on 9/12 and have a delivery date for 9/19 with an expected shipment date of 10/14 that changed to "not available at this time" for my silver 6+ 128gb. Confused...
I'm with you. I'm in North Louisiana and haven't heard anything. I called *611 and it says it is shipped but won't give me a tracking number. When I spoke with a human, they don't have a tracking number and show it to be "pending shipment" I'm holding out hope.
I ordered before 3AM CST and got a order confirmation but AMEX flagged the charge as fraud and I had to verify it before they would let it through to Verizon. Got it fixed but I hope it didn't cause me to get jumped in line.
How fast can they make 10 million iPhones for the first week of sales? Most people are patient and don't obsess over instant gratification. Apple is a business and need to protect themselves as well and can't over produce and at the same time can only make so many phones at a time. They are working to get tens of millions of phones across the world in one month time. Logistics has limits. They couldn't feasibly have 10 million iPhones ready to go for preorders while supplying thousands of stores in The USA and prepping to do the same all over the world. Cut them some slack and be patient. It will come eventually
