I guess I am just resigning myself to that fact that Verizon did a great job of ****ing me and my fiancé over. Guess we will just wait until the iPhones are done being ordered and shipped places and wait for it to become available in stores without having to wait in a line. Meaning....****ing after Christmas.

I'm so ****ing upset that I even got my hopes so high for this. :( :'(

For all of those getting their orders cancelled: just go to a retail store. Even if you're not the first in line, you're likely to get what you want unless you live in a large city (LA, NYC, Chicago, etc.).

For example, a few years ago my order was cancelled and I drove to one of the many Verizon stores in the area, grabbed the exact iPhone/capacity I wanted at 12:30 in the afternoon. So, that is always an option.

SO beyond royally pissed. My order was cancelled and my fiancé's order was cancelled. And the reps are ****ing full of ****.

Sorry for all the cursing. But I am SO MAD. They "think" that they can get us our delivery date of 9/19 back. Well they ****ing better. Oh my ever loving.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

You sound like a delight to speak to on the phone :p

Is your credit card not linked to the shipping address? Have you previously paid your carrier with that same credit card?

Key words, unless you live in a large city

Retail is definitely an option, but I just want to know why my order was cancelled.

As I'm sure many others do too.

Things are different this time with the 6 Plus. An iPhone has never gone to 3-4 weeks within an hour of pre-orders opening before, as far as I can recall.

I know a lot of folks have received their UPS tracking information, as have I. Has anyone seen any movement when tracking it yet?

VZW Order Status Thread

My FedEx shows iPhone traveling from SW Pennsylvania to NJ where it shows "at local Fedex facility." Problem is I am in AL. Should I be worried?

Just more proof that Verizon has no idea what's going on.

Delivery date when order placed was 9/19.
Email confirmation said 10/14.
Website shows no shipping info available at this time.

Called Verizon on Friday evening as I was confused by the discrepancy. Was told shipping on 9/19 and not to worry.

Checked my credit card today and saw no charge. In the past couple years I have always been charged by the following Monday. Call Verizon to make sure it's not on hold. Not on hold but was told it won't come earlier than 10/14. The guy said he had no idea why I was told it would come earlier.

Meanwhile, a coworker of mine that ordered the same 16gb 6+ in gray 30 minutes after me has been charged and has his shipping info.

Blown away, I just don't get it.

There's always this option.

I tried to chat with someone in sales (as someone here said they are the ones that help with pending orders). Rep said he cannot look at open orders.

Called 611 to check order status and am directed to the website.

How do I talk to someone to make sure there is no problem/error with my order?

Regular customer service? Sales?

No I also see this exact same tracking info for my order. I think it just means it arrived at the local fedex in NJ in order to be transported elsewhere. You should see "departed local fedex..." when it moves to the next location

Why did so many people go with Verizon Edge? I thought that everybody knew it was clearly a ripoff when it was introduced:

Newark, NJ is the massive Fedex distribution hub at Newark International Airport. It has to go there first to fly to a hub near you.

I wondered the same things myself!

Hey guys,

I got an email from VZW providing me with a delivery date of 9/19, and my tracking number.

It's being tracked through UPS, and the link still hasn't been activated in the system.

Has anyone else been issued a tracking number through UPS, that has updated tracking info?

I'm also thinking about scheduling a pick up from my local UPS that way I can pick it up instead of waiting all afternoon. Has anyone done that with an iphone preorder? I'm scared it'll just complicate things. I like to keep it simple :)

This is for an iPhone 6 Plus 128GB Gold ordered within 10 minutes after midnight.

when it was introduced, sure. but now, there are plans where edge makes sense. a phone subsidy is only $450. spread out over 24 months, that's $18.75 a month. for family share plans with 10gb or more, going with edge knocks off $25/line and you don't get charged the upgrade fee. it's definitely cheaper to go with edge in those cases.
