Hey guys,

I got an email from VZW providing me with a delivery date of 9/19, and my tracking number.

It's being tracked through UPS, and the link still hasn't been activated through UPS.

Has anyone else been issued a tracking number through UPS, that still hasn't updated?

This is for an iPhone 6 Plus 128GB Gold ordered within 10 minutes after midnight.
When did you get the tracking number? It can take up to 24 hours for UPS to get it in the system.
 
Just curious..Has anyone ever had a expected delivery date from Verizon's website disappear and reappear with a even later ship date?

UPS has to scan the package into their system before it's traceable. That may take most of the night. It should be good to go tomorrow.
 
I don't have today's news paper, but yeah, I haven't taken off the plastic on the screen yet. Guys, this phone is AMAZING. Let me know if you have other questions ONLY REGARDS TO THE FUNCTIONALITY OF THE PHONE. I really don't care to prove this is real/fake. Apple did it again. There's SO MUCH about the phone they didn't mention on keynote.

And you can tell all that without even removing the plastic? How? Is Siri telling you?
 
No I also see this exact same tracking info for my order. I think it just means it arrived at the local fedex in NJ in order to be transported elsewhere. You should see "departed local fedex..." when it moves to the next location


Thanks. Just found it odd they sent it farther from the destination instead of somewhere towards me.
 
Retail is definitely an option, but I just want to know why my order was cancelled.

As I'm sure many others do too.

Retail is definitely not an option for me as my order was canceled. Did you ever get to have yours re-opened? They said that they would re-open mine.
 
I ordered a 64 GB Silver iPhone 6 at 5:00 AM EST from vzw.com.

I live in NJ. According to the tracking number, it shipped from PA on 9/13, and arrived in Newark, NJ on 9/14. I'm guessing it will stay in Newark until 9/19. I really wish I could just go get it, though!

It's definitely getting pretty irritating. I'm going to go into verizon tomorrow and see if anything will prevent me from edging up in store on Friday.

Not a chance in hell I'll be able to get it reopened.

I wonder if the iPhone will still arrive since it's in transit already??
 
So I apparently used the wrong zipcode for my payment during the preorder so Verizon sent me an email putting my order "On Hold" until I called them back. Called them back this morning to give them the correct info. My order date is 3:09am Eastern Time so I asked if my 9/19 delivery date would still be honored. The rep said I'd still keep my place for the 19th and wouldn't have to worry about my phone showing up in October / November. My CC has been charged now but the preorder status still shows as in process but payment not taken. Slightly concerned though since checking "Order Status" under my account shows my order date as 9/14 but my confirmation email says 9/12 3:09am.

I used the account billing address (Which doesn't match my card billing address) and the payment has gone through. My order status in MyVZW now reads "Your order is currently being processed. Please check back later." The order status page linked to in the confirmation email received at purchase says:

We received your order and it is in process. Payment not taken yet.
Expected Ship Date: Not available at this time.

I spoke with the number in the email about the card fraud stuff and they said I'd still get it Friday. Not going to obsess about it and I'll call Thursday if I haven't heard anything. If they can't tell me the tracking number then I'll just go to the local store Friday morning. I live in a small town so it shouldn't be an issue.

Email 2 : 8:16AM PDT "Your order is on Hold" (Order Number is included now)

Call : 9:15AM PDT I call into customer service to ask about "order being on hold", rep. confirms some information and says your order is now confirmed, that I should receive confirmation/shipping information email soon (I haven't received any emails from Verizon since then). I did ask the rep. since I didn't call in immediately after I received the "order on hold" email (I went to bed), will I still get to keep my place in the pre-order line, she said yes, but I wasn't really expecting that would happen, since I didn't call in till so many hours later and with such a high volume pre-order launch they wouldn't favor orders that didn't get confirmed immediately.

Order Status : Checked on Verizon's order status page with reference number and it stated "we have received your order..." and expected delivery date was 10/21/2014. So I figured calling in late did push me back to the end of the line.

All the information above hasn't changed since Friday, just checked order status few moments ago and the information layout changed and now it says "Order being processed" and there is a spot for tracking number. Went and checked my Discover Card activity and Verizon has charged me for the phone.

So hoping I get a actual email from Verizon soon with tracking information. Hope this information is helpful to someone else.
 
I just talked to Verizon because *cough* I think there was a *cough* issue with my credit card. Anyway, she said everything looks great for delivery for the 9/19. Even though online it says Expected ship date: not available at this time. She said the original email received is the most accurate source of information. *shrugs*
 
My FedEx shows iPhone traveling from SW Pennsylvania to NJ where it shows "at local Fedex facility." Problem is I am in AL. Should I be worried?

I don't think so; mine is sitting in Newark too. I think that is the holding area since Verizon shipped early and said 'hold for later delivery'. If you can see your tracking like I can, I think we'll see movement by Wednesday.

I am assuming SW PA for you was West Chester. No airport there. Had to be transported to the Newark NJ airport to fly to you in AL

8am today? Oh yeah you got nothing to worry about, it will be in the system late today/tomorrow.

I have this happen with regular orders too. You get a email from Amazon with a tracking number and you click it and they don't have any info yet. Absolutely nothing to worry about!

No if you have a tracking number you are good to go and will get your iphone. Those with orders cancelled have issues prior to that.

Anyway a few things. I have a pre order of 128 plus grey and order numbers are NOT increasing. I got my pre order email at 257 am est, the earliest on here as far as I can tell, and I'm at 770000 approx.

I still haven't gotten charged or tracking info. I can only assume that I and others who haven't are closer to distro hubs. I'm here on Long Island which is the center of the world for verizon.

I'm holding out hope it ships tomorrow. If not then I'll be scared.

Keep me updated guys. Anyone who has a plus 128 charged or shipped in the New York / nj metro area please post ASAP.

Why did so many people go with Verizon Edge? I thought that everybody knew it was clearly a ripoff when it was introduced:

Newark, NJ is the massive Fedex distribution hub at Newark International Airport. It has to go there first to fly to a hub near you.

My two-year contract doesn't end until November, but I could do Edge early. Also, I plan to get a new phone again next year when the S comes out. My monthly Edge charge is 42 and some change - call it $40 for this discussion. I have to pay 60% before I can Edge up, so my total cost would be $800 (for 20 months) or $480 for 12 months which would be my 60%. I am trading in my 4s for $200 Verizon gift card which I will, in effect, apply to the $480, so the phone will cost me $280 over the next year - and that is not considering that I am lowering my data plan by 1GB since they are giving me 1GB free for the next year.
