(Apple is an OEM, just in case bold type and colour changing the text is not subtle enough, and they don't use the Core M in the rMBP. If they did I think mac rumours would have a full on wailing tantrum based on the reaction to putting a ULV into the new education/baseline iMac.)

Thats I was always saying. But for some reason they don't understand me...Now the colors make it clear :D
And for does that think Apple is a major player for intel, This number: 0,1 will take or mind for something like (Apple has special access to intel, etc etc), because around 0,1% is the percent of silicon that Apple buys from Intel. the rest 99,9% goes to other, like HP, Toshiba, ACER, ASUS, etc etc and some of them use intel CPU on their Handheld devices...

So in October the Macs will be updated with Broadwell??

In the past, Apple has waited a couple (or few) months after the introduction of a new chipset. So its hard to say, it could be 4th quarter 2014 or even 1st quarter 2015.

But if Intel releases Broadwell late in 2014, and they don't rush out a new product then we are talking about 2015.

If intel is not ready for Apple with broadwell for October lunch they will release all the macs with Haswell E chips

They didn't say only the core M would come in the fall. I don't know why the inclusion of the core M would make you think it is limited to the core M. You can highlight, bold, and change whatever colors you want. With the exception of the core M, Intel has not said which models are coming when. Broader OEM availability could mean anything.

That will never, ever happen.

Dream rMBP refresh?

Comes in early August, with Broadwell processors that were released before expected and distributed to Apple ahead of other companies. The spec sheets of the 15-inch models are as follows:

Low-end:
2.1 GHz Broadwell i7 quad-core
8 GB RAM
256 GB SSD
GTX 850M
3200 x 1800 resolution (4K on 15-inch is a bit pointless)
10 hour battery life

High-end
2.4 GHz Broadwell i7 quad-core
16 GB RAM
512/1024 GB SSD
GTX 860M (Maxwell)
3200 x 1800 resolution
10 hour battery life

The display will not have any higher pixel density. They already make it perfect for the eyes. And second, only the high end will have Geforce 850M

Intel needs to have those chips ready for Apple to launch during the holiday season or else Intel might lose face with Apple.

Doubtful... AMD can't even match the power efficiency and speed of Intel's chips and for pro users ARM just isn't going to cut it.

With chip production getting as small as it is... I wouldn't be surprised if we see longer stretches between chip releases when Intel does their 'Tick' in each Tick-Tock cycle.

I will be starting my graduate studies from september and want to buy 15" retina version. But the model seems outdated, if you look at newest Windows laptops woth 800 seria nvidia with 3200x1800 resolution. I am confused what to do??

Wait.. It sucks but will most likely be worth it. I'm waiting for a refresh / spec bump. No way I'm spending 3k on a 2013 machine at this point.

Totally agree, but the question is wether it comes out in oct or in 2015?

It may come out in July for all we know. Either way I have a 2011 MBA I'll use until then. If you have something that you currently use then 4 months isn't a big deal.. It does go by quickly.

What about the specs? Are they the same has de current version?
Ok, it's exactly the same... Maybe they are out of stock and new versions are finally coming out... MacBook Pro mid 2014!?

If anything, the update would only be a minor-spec boost like the one the MacBook Air received, not anything major. Most likely it doesn't mean anything as we haven't heard any rumours concerning it.

It says in stock for me. Also that's a random third party selling through amazon, not amazon, so it's not a good indication of anything.

The one that amazon sell is the one that have 1 to 2 months.
