This is what he said
The item from Apple MCB RETINA is so new that we have very little information on it.

So, he could be wrong, but from what he said it does appear as if it is a new model.

Its quite expensive considering it only has a 256GB SSD ($2749 USD).

This is pretty much what I'm hoping for - because I'm honestly ready to spend $3500 and $1500 for a laptop and 4k-Retina Display...come on apple!!! ;)

Which notebook model costs $1500 and can handle properly a $3500 4k-Retina Display?. If you can afford the latter, then I am quite sure you could afford the new MacPro... ;)

I have to stop reading this thread. It reminds me of being in high school and waiting forever to get into my girlfriend's pants:

"Tonight is the night! Oh, just a little tease. Maybe tomorrow! Ok, definitely tonight! Nope. Her parents will be gone until late next Tuesday, definitely gonna happen then! Aunt Flo is visiting this week... goddamnit!!!"

This is stressing me out and I already have a rMBP with no intention to upgrade for a couple of years.

Leaving you guys to it. I can't take anymore of the Haswell blueballs.

Morbid curiosity, and wondering if I should be pissed off for not waiting. Going to be regretting it if I got stuck with the chubby band girl when I could have railed the prom queen instead.

I wonder if they will manage to put a headphone jack in the next TB display.

reminds me, i've been meaning to try / test blue tooth audio adapter:

LINK. I'm assuming this will allow me to plug my future rMBP into my current speaker setup painlessly. Do not want an extra cable going into the laptop

I hear ya. Luckily at the age of 15 I had a GF that was as eager as I. Worst thing that ever happened to me. Led me to believe such things were going to be easy for the rest of my life. No such luck. My 2nd love, the Haswell rMBP has made me crawl thru a thousand miles of broken glass, and still not even a glance. Did I come on too strong? Have I appeared too desperate? Should I pretend that I'm happy with my 5 yr old computer and just not interested in her remarkable display? I just dont understand them. Men are from Mars, The Haswell rMBP is from Venus.

Why would you need it with a 253Ghz computer?

So would the hypothetical gains being made with the Haswell chips make waiting on a rMBP be the best option for someone planning on getting the 2.7ghz model for medium to heavy After Effects, Premiere, and Avid usage?

The rumors of it lacking an dGPU have me thinking that the current model might be better suited to my needs.

I'm looking at the 2.7ghz, 512gb, 16gb ram model and I'd like to possibly get it by mid-august before I go back to school.
