The 2+3 ULT is the most likely one to be used in the 13" rMBP, well i hope so ;)
ULT = Ultra Light and Thin and is only used for mobile CPUs. It has lower Clock rates and a lower TDP than it's Desktop equivalents.

The GT3 GPU Unit has 128 MiByte embedded DRAM (eDRAM) = Iris Pro 5200

Sorry but I can't find your " ULV Dual Core CPU with Iris Pro 5200 and with 128 mb of super fast ram / L4 cache" on your screenshot :confused::confused:

Historically do the third party sites (MacMall, bestbuy.com, etc) offer the new Macbook Pros on the day or release? Or is there a slight delay between when you can buy them on Apple.com and these sites?

I went for an AIR in the meantime, can't wait for new rMBP until 2014. TN screen sucks, but after like 2 weekes I got used to it (most of the time I'm on my office IPS/PVA panels anyway).

In retrospect, it was a good decision. Performance is great (i7/8GB/256) and it does allow me to do my job (programming) without any problems, slowdowns, etc.

I read the article before you even posted it but in the picture...there is no such a "ULV Dual Core CPU with Iris Pro 5200 and with 128 mb of super fast ram / L4 cache" imo :(

Read my edit ;)

But hopefully it could be this "special" request from Apple, to bring this 128 eDRAM to the Dual Core Model...

That's easily possible because the 128MB L4 cache is on-chip but not on-die. If it doesn't have the 128MB cache, then I'd rather have a 4558U with 4MB L3 cache and Iris 5100 HD graphics than this mystery chip with 3MB L3 cache and Iris Pro 5200 HD graphics.

Quite a bit can run in a 128MB cache. Base memory for the Power Mac G4 was 64MB of RAM with a maximum cache of 1MB. That was enough to run 10.4 Tiger.

9to5mac is reporting that Apple still hasn't ended the Back to School offer when it was supposed to end yesterday. http://9to5mac.com/2013/09/07/apples-50100-back-to-school-gift-card-offer-slightly-extended/

I added the rMBP to the cart and Apple added the gift card to the cart as well so it's true.

This gives me renewed hope for a September release of the rMBP. :)

It would be great if they kept it going until October at least. They did start it late this year.

I'm really hoping for SSD (or actually, PCIe) sizes to get boosted up a level for all models (base line gets 256). The "Pro" line needs to have more than a better screen to differentiate it from the air. So we need bigger storage, new Haswell, and better graphics (5200 in 13", 5200 + dGPU in 15"). More USB ports would be nice as well.

As I've commented before, if they went with IGZO displays, they could make the bezel thinner, and increase the screen sizes to 14" and 16" without making the laptop much bigger at all. That would be sweet.

It's also Saturday, so there's probably no one at Apple to end BTS anyway.

If were to see new Macs on Tuesday we would probably already have leaks about model #'s and pricing.

Im not sure if model #'s leak prior to a new release for MACs like they do for the ios devices. The first time I have seen a leak was recently with the MBA's. I could be wrong, there may have been leaks in the past with previous models.

Well no leaks on model numbers don't mean no new Macs are coming out Tuesday, but I'm definitely no longer optimistic about it.

I'm thinking it is going to be October, but I would love to see them Tuesday.

Same here.....least we survived August. Now just getting through September and half of October.

When WWDC rolled around in June, it felt like I had already been waiting for ages. And now it is September.

Not to be pessimistic, but I would wager a lot of money that we won't see new Macs on Tuesday. Apple would never announce new Macs at the same time as a new iPhone.

Try checking out this link http://www.pcgameshardware.de/Haswell-Codename-255592/News/Intel-Haswell-Die-Konfigurationen-Folien-veroeffentlicht-1087027/ if you speak German of course. I don't.

Nevermind, I read what country you're from, so you'll be good with reading it:D
It came from there.

I'm going to suggest that you follow both sites.

And then there's the BTS extension.. retailers are gonna keep milking current models..

Could also be an argument for one last push to clear out old stock before the new computers this week. Although I'm not putting my faith in thst theory.

Edit:
Just saw that the eDRAM is just on the 4+3 Model...

I think that those are referring to the Iris 5100 parts, which are the same GPU core (GT3) just without the eDRAM.

Those parts (Iris 5100) would agree with the supposed 13" benchmark from a while back.

I think that the Asus Zenbook Infinity is slated to use the same CPUs, but it also hasn't shipped yet.

Why does the BTS extension renew your hope for a refreshed rMBP this September?

Well my hope is that Apple decides to release the rMBP as a "one more thing" at the iPhone event and then extend the Back to school promo until September 20 or something to entice buyers.

I'm probably wrong though. Realistically, I still think Apple is going to wait until October but idealistically, I would be super happy if they do release the rMBP in September. My temporary laptop with Linux is affecting my productivity and the rMBP will reduce the number of swear words that I direct towards Linux. :D

Yes, I think you are probably wrong on that one. There is no need for a promotion to entice buyers to new Macs. It would only cut into Apple's profits and make worse the usual shortages that exist with the launch of new Apple products. A more likely explanation for any extension of the BTS promotion would be to clear out old stock prior to an impending launch of new products.
