Waiting for Haswell MBP Mega Thread

It would be great if the new rMBP:s shows up on the keynote, but a small part of me hope they don't just to see how far we can push this thread

Also, a question, how important is a discrete graphics card for a amateur photographer like me? I use Aperture to do a bit of editing of my raw files.

Does apps like Aperture and Photoshop benefit from discrete graphics in the same way as 3D modeling software like Maya and Cinema 4d does?

Actually, Aperture and Photoshop would benefit more from Iris Pro, as the OpenCL performance of Iris Pro is waaaay better than Nvidia's dGPU's (probably because of the 128MB L4 cache).

So Photoshop users (and users of other OpenCL-enabled apps) would benefit more from an Iris Pro.

Also, in case new Mac is introduced and becomes available today on the Apple store, could we expect to have it on the other stores as well? I would need to buy one today, tomorrow tops.

Yes! Got fingers crossed! Maybe there are too many things to update all at once and Apple will spread them out by releasing the Haswell rMBP's today. We don't need any fanfare, that's for sure.

I think most of us have the prices and configuration options burned into our brains now. Visiting the store every 2 minutes does that to you.

I'm sorry if I missed it, how can I watch today's event live?

This event has not yet been announced to the public only invitees. Therefore it is not clear wether Apple will live stream it or not.
If they were to, it would appear on their Apple Events page. Otherwise you'll have to find a live blog from the multiple website bloggers attending the event.
