When they've announced Macs at these events before have they come before or after the iPhones/iPads?

EDIT: Or has there been no announcement and just a silent store update?

If you want some fun, check droid-life's "live stream"
It is a bit stupid of course, but making fun of Apple might help with the disappointment after the MBPs are not announced ;)

@snapper
Silent store updates have happened in such cases in the past.

Thanks, guess I should just stop speculating for now. We'll know one way or the other in an hour or two.

I really hope tonight is gonna mark the end of this megathread. :D
No way -- even if announced/available today, there will be the follow-on posts regarding Apple's stupid decisions, removing the dGPU, keeping the dGPU, rushing to buy an Ivy Bridge MBP, complaining about price, complaining about upgrade (RAM and SSD) prices, gloating over buying the new toys, etc., etc.

Nope, this thread still has a vigorous future. ;)

For anyone who doesn't have a live blog to follow, I prefer the Verge's simply because they update top-down style.
So does this site (MacRumors).

They moved on to the iPhone very very quick.

Two possibilities:
- Or this is going to be a very short event
- Or they've got something up their sleeve for after the iPhone

They did say "something to make everyone happy" didn't they? :) Fingers crossed....... toes crossed....................... eyes crossed...............!!!!

Normally 90 minutes, no? We're at ~40 minutes and they've already talked iOS7 and 5C, and are starting on 5S. They better have something else....

I feel like an idiot, but I can't remember how long the previous iPhone events were. They're already on the 5S so this is either a 1 hour event or they've got some secrets for afterwards. They already did iOS7, iWork, 5C.

Semi-related, but introducing 64-bit into the iPhone (and possible iGPU only in the new rMBPs) shows where Apple wants to take this thing: they want to build and design their own chips for their own hardware, and not have to rely on intel to do it for them.

The store is down. That can't have anything to do with the new iPhones yet right? Let's hope it's for something else...
