Getting excited now.

Will be getting my 1st Mac and if I have to wait another month or 2 will have the money for the fully loaded 15" rMBP with 16gb ram and 512gb ssd.

With the loaded processor (2.8 currently)?

Rumors have wound down... no new rMBP released during WWDC, then? Will Apple disappoint me again? :(

It may not be RELEASED next week, but I think we shall hear an announcement. And at least be able to pre-order it next week. :) Have hope and stay positive!

I just hope to have it by late August lest I only have an iPad in college.

Yeah I'm hoping it is released in at least July. I start College in late August and really can't wait to get my hands on one. ^ ^

In my experience, the rumors that I don't want to be true are normally true. :(

I'm not holding out too much hope for new rMBPs this month, that way I won't be too disappointed (except that's a lie but I'll hide my disappointment slightly better.)

School for me as well. Hoping to buy a 13" rMBP.

Ah, hoping for a 15'' rMBP [need 15'' MBP for Graphic Designing anyway.]

I'm just trying to remain positive with all these negative rumors. "Rumors are not always true", at least that is what I'm repeating in my head.

No just the standard 2.7 at £2,299 UK price but the equivalent haswell rMBP

Good plan. If you were going to get the 2.8 I would say don't and buy AppleCare. The 2.8 is so overpriced for what it is.

So if the refresh is not available for purchase right away. Would you be able to pre-order in the states and have it shipped to Brazil, thus paying American price for the MBP?

not possible in a million years, they would incur in a price reduction of brazillian prices by 2.5x

and this applies to most countries

So basically it doesn't matter where you purchase it, only where it's being sent to?

Yes I know that bit so basically it's covered until its 3 years old know matter when you actually buy AppleCare has long you buy it within the first 12 months

Exactly. But if you buy Applecare early it gives you phone support for longer.

If other laptop brands can manage to have haswell laptops ready, Apple sure can. Apple will be shipping the laptops at WWDC within two weeks...

Right. At least, that's how it works when I do hypothetical builds and purchases. I live in PA but Delaware has no sales tax, so I can build it on my computer at home but as long as I ship it to the Delaware store I don't incur a sales tax when I go to purchase. The total ends up depending on where the build is going.

Different but I expect similar in how it would play out in his case.

No. I may pay the American price for it, but then I'll have to pay a 60% imports tax over the product plus freight, plus a 18% VAT, then a 6% tax over the currency conversion. The price is too high here because of these absurd taxes the government charges.

Pre-order and have it delivered when? If it's within one week, then it's fine. If it's more than that, too bad for me...

Yes, pretty much that.

I was thinking it'd be 2-4 weeks if they did a pre-order. But completely forgot that you're not staying in the States for that long. =/ So on your part, that is very sucky... Do you have any family in the US to send the rMBP to? And then they could send it to you? Or would it still be the same price regardless?

you are still doing the calc wrong, but to be easy do a 90% tax over the product and its well within the range of the tax charge

did a recent math for the razer blade

{[1800 price + (40 bank transfer + 60 shipping)] * 60% tax + R$150 aduana} * 4% ICMS = 3.161,60 * 2 conversion rate = my heart really aches
