I meant a specific event for iPads, and one for Macs. It's pretty unlikely for that to happen, as Apple would want the media attention on the event so some of that passes over to the macs.

Did you forget about last year? Apple wouldn't hold an event just for Macs, but rather as a tie-in with the iPad event.

I was at the Apple Store today and I noticed there were very few people looking at Macs, while there were huge crowds looking at iPads and iPhones. If the other stores were anything like my local one, we should really consider the possibility of not seeing a new MBP in October. :( I really don't think a further delay will be as big of an impact on Apple as we think, especially if they're waiting for IGZO displays or some other significant tech improvement.

I really, really wouldn't worry about that.

Well what do the crowds have to do with anything? You will encounter this any time of the year, even when a new Mac was just released.

It's no secret that Macs are a small part of Apple's business these days. Besides, it would look really bad for Apple if their flagship laptop didn't have Haswell by the end of the year.

New iPhones just came out on Friday and iOS 7 last Wednesday. It would be expected that more people would be crowding the iOS tables right now.

No. I meant that Apple most likely won't have two events, and that if Apple has one event for both Macs and iPads, some of the press and excitement passes over to the new Macs.

I'm sure Apple isn't worried about that. I just want the damn thing to be out so I can buy.

Is there any possibility that IGZO displays will be in the Macbook Pro in 2013 or is it most likely to be 2014 at WWDC ?

Thanks,

Thanks,

If they're going to be there for 2014 I might actually skip Haswell. 2013 is unlikely though because it'll involve a resolution change (plus I think the current crop of IGZO screens are 16:9, which I don't think Apple wants to switch to).

That would basically be a giant Mac event, which wouldn't make too much sense if Apple wanted to unveil new iPads there too.

Well they've already announced/introduced A7 so Ipads update could take less
but will be still 20 minutes at least after the charts for investors about
the Apple goals reached in that part of the market, then Maverick and the new MacBook Pro
and this could be short ,if just a spec bump or more if they are going to
show something like a new redesign which is unlikely in my opinion,
after that a short remind that Haswell is even landing on the Imacs and mini
maybe the end of the new laptops teaser, something like "and Maverick will land on Macbook Pro Imac and mini starting from 700,1110 and 1500 from 25 of October.."
then at the end the New Mac Pro with a demonstration of an external
application with a thunderbolt solution like Magma,Sonnet or M-Logic
http://www.engadget.com/2012/11/13/mlogic-mlink-thunderbolt-chassis/
Could be a very great KeyNote and some new features revealed like the replaceability of the Gpu(which is also unlikey)?or the prices and availability

Don't be ridiculous. Neither resolution nor aspect ratio is a stopping factor in any way.

Don't expect a resolution change for the rMBPs in the next few years. These amazing resolutions were introduced only last year and Apple rarely change them. Apple's focus now regarding the MBP's displays will be on getting yields up and costs down. Any resolution change would interfere with that objective.
