Predictions: iPad 5, iPad Mini (w/retina display), Mavericks (possible launch) and the Mac Pro.

No rMBP, I'm thinking either next week, next month or possibly early 2014. Of course this is all speculation and I can't back it up with evidence, but this is what I think will happen nonetheless.

If it makes you feel better...

Indeed, all we gonna see is the iPad 5s, iPad 5c, iPad haswell, iPad mini, iPad micro, iPad retina, iPad classic... It doesn't say otherwise anyways, it's just an iPad event :( and it will be the greatest disappointment in life.

I really hope the leaked specs are true in the sense that the 4GB/128GB 13" might take the price point of the current cMBP at £999 and the the rest of the 8GB remain the same or get a £100 reduction.

that way it'll be less of a sucker punch to my overdraft even including the 14% student discount.

The new Retina Macbook Pro will be presented today!

I will happily quote all the trolls, who say it won't be there today, after the keynote.

My 1st post on MacRumors!

Been following this thread for about 5 months and as today is "apparently" the day, I felt compelled to say hello to everyone and to contribute to the post count.
2008 C2D MacBook 13" is getting a little long in the tooth... time for retina 15"

Haven't posted on here in a while, but been following this thread. I am definitely due for an upgrade, still working the 2008 unibody MacBook with upgraded HDD and RAM... I am hoping the 13" rMBP will be available to order and ship right away or by November 6th!

Are you serious?? Do you still have a life after this "Mega Thread"?
Lol. I'm going to miss this thread so much. :D
Well no it's the time difference, I have paid (otherwise I would watch live during it of course lol ;) ) class at 8pm, whereas the event starts here at 7pm.. :(
That gives me one hour, so I hope they'll talk about the rMBP in the first 60 mins.

Final Prediction for tomorrow:

- New iPads (retina Mini and iPad 5)

Yes.

- New iPads will have touchID

By rights they should but I believe supply rumors say no. It's a coin flip.

- Mavericks will get official release on 10/30

2 GM's now. I think it's ready today.

- New MacPro Pre-Orders (wont ship until ~mid Nov)
Most likely. All products today were said to be available "this fall". Mac Pro has always been "later this year" so, that tells me it comes after everything else. Maybe today though, we'll get to see a real MacBucket Pro. If so, it's pretty freaking tiny so everybody squint.

- New Macbook Pro Pre-Orders (Wont ship until ~mid Nov)
Apple never does this with MBP's. Always available right away.

- MBP will contain Haswell, Wi-Fi AC, IGZO, integrated GPU
You IGZO flag wavers remind me of the liquid metal folks a while back. If it happens - world's best kept secret.

And yes, both MBP's will each get different iGPU's. But the 15" will also have a dGPU. With the MBP17 gone, Apple needs some kind of high-ender. It just wouldn't make sense any other way right now. But I will say this... once dGPU's are removed from the 15" you will see the entire laptop lineup morph completely into the new MBA models.

Yes! And the main page says that the event can be watched from a browser, although probably Safari only.

Read the bottom of the page:

Live Streaming video requires Safari 4 or later on OS X v10.6 or later; Safari on iOS 4.2 or later. Streaming via Apple TV requires second- or third-generation Apple TV with software 5.0.2 or later.
