I'm still torn. I have a 2010 iMac which is a little slow but works.
I really need a laptop due to being between two countries at the moment.
My ideal update would be a redesigned and updated 15" cMBP but I doubt that is going to happen.
Which would leave me with the choice of a rMBP that would be vastly more expensive to include extra ram and 512gb SSD.
If they just put a Haswell chip in the cMBP then we still have a laptop with an old design that isn't exactly cheap.
I'm hoping for a price drop in the rMBP which will help absorb the cost of the upgraded SSD mad maybe a boost in base config RAM.

I know you are desperately hoping for Haswell rMBP NOT to come out today.
I know and I understand, since your wonderful rMBP will become outdated.
Easy man, this evening your rMBP will just be one of the many superseeded macbook pro that Apple had made in its history.
But, come on, I'm sure your laptop will continue to work...
The closer we get to the event, the more unstable people become lol. I'm now also starting to "worry" that it might not happen today. It's going to be awesome during the event, adrenaline rush and everything.

I'm gonna have to use a PC to watch it, is it possible? (i remember last time there was a live stream and only safari would work). Otherwise i got an ipad with me, is there a way to watch it on it too?
It's at 1am in HK. Just enough time to go to sports, get dinner, watch the latest tv shows.

Now Crystal Well refers specifically to the 128mhz eDRAM source "Crystalwell (the codename for the eDRAM silicon)" and "128 MB of embedded DRAM (eDRAM), called Crystal Well" source2
A possible reason that the eDRAM has been given a name is that the 128mb is expected to be around for a few generations "Intel didn’t see much benefit beyond a 32MB eDRAM however it wanted the design to be future proof. Intel doubled the size to deal with any increases in game complexity, and doubled it again just to be sure. I believe the exact wording Intel’s Tom Piazza used during his explanation of why 128MB was “go big or go home”. It’s very rare that we see Intel be so liberal with die area, which makes me think this 128MB design is going to stick around for a while." source
But the 13" probably wont have Iris Pro

And, for the doubters, Apple has to go all out in this event for it's stock, customers, investors, and overall company rep. It has touted a lot about ' fall ' being a very exciting and busy quarter, it now has to live up to the hype it built!
