Apple will probably put the 5100 in the 13 inch. So this is probably the 15 inch. That said, it would be interesting to see if this is the standard MBP or the retina one.

Well there you go people. No there won't be any HD 4600.
Definitely a 15" model.

Good, that means we might get the 750M. Awesome. HD5200 + 750M would be great. HD5200 + 760 would be killer.

So how does someone like primate labs get ahold of data like this. Wouldn't it require some apple/foxcon worker to have the software on the unreleased model?

They didn't get the data. Someone at Apple just benchmarked the new MBP. And they use Geekbench since that's the most well known software that makes it easy to share your results with other people.

This happens from time to time before an incoming update.

Also, it appears that this 2.4GHz (which is most likely the highest end model) is slightly slower or slightly faster than the highest end (with the 2.8 GHz Ivy Bridge) from early 2013 which is to be expected, since Haswell is more about battery life than performance.

Would anyone venture an educated guess as to if this is the base 15" or perhaps an upgraded model?

I feel like it is the base model but I'm not sure what processors that leaves for the upgraded versions than. So... Maybe not

That's quite definitely not the base model.

This is most likely the highest end model since it has the 4950HQ processor, which has performance similar to the current Ivy bridge highest end processor (2.8 GHz)

Now we play the waiting game as this can either be a beast with a dGPU or they've decided to ship with it without one and include the Iris Pro only. Only time will tell.

Pretty good exclusive that site has gotten. Maybe he has more information, someone get this guy or it's off with his head ;D

I just love that it has 5200 iris pro graphics.
Now one wonders if the whole family in the 15" will sport it or just the top end one.
But at the same time i get worried that they might drop the dGPU.
But that move would be really strange tbh.
That would mean that the ivy bridge rMBP would be faster in many aspects.
And a lot of people would prefer it over the Haswell one.
I really hope they don't drop the dGPU and we will see a true top of the line computer from apple in the next few months.

Only way to justify a drop of the dGPU would be a significant price drop.
But that would seem like a strange move also. A MBP should be what its called, a "pro" computer.

Seems strange that the Geekbench site don't pick up info like what GPU the computer has and such in the info. I know its the same for all the tests done there.
But it seems like a strange way of collecting info from computers that test. When they even include bios numbers and such. But don't include what kind of gpu the computer have. Even if it don't test it.

Geekbench only benchmarks the processor. All the system information is collected for referencing, and comparing.

Sounds like the rMBP13" might be close to perfect. Since no dGPU, PCIe disc, haswell CPU they should be able to shave off quite a lot of thickness :D

My credit card is ready :D

Based on the date in the previous rMBP BIOS and its release in February it pains me to say that the new Haswell rMBP will most likely be released in late August/early September

Just out of interest then, how long does it take in between these things showing up on benchmarks, to actually being released? Is there any chance of this coming before October now?

Course it makes sense strong iGPU means it can do more without using the dGPU so therefore battery performance will be alot better than current version.

Well imo it's just to expensive. Don't know what the dGPUs costs but I think for this price you could get a 4th gen i7 with even higher clockspeeds, a decents kepler dGPU and even more battery life thanks to HD4600. So you get more mobility and more horsepower if needed. I would prefer this. Upside for the HQ CPU is that it don't need so much space.

The 4950HQ is Intels most expencive mobile CPU but with only 6MB L3-Cache it won't be the MBP high end CPU.

they could do with HD4600, but then it won't look good comparing a HD5100 13" rMBP with a "weaker" HD4600 15" rMBP ( omitting the dGPU of course ).
thats what i thought.

roughly about a month best case scenario, after these benchmark leaked.

worst case is two months.

awesome news that macbook pro will have HD5200 now I really hope that Apple will offer Macbook with dGPU and without dGPU in their 15" line ( i would buy without dGPU :D )

Better off getting a cheap 2013 rmbp if going with the 15". Performance doesn't look to be much better and battery life won't increase nearly as much as the 13". The 13" however since switching to the U processor may see over 10 hours of battery life and coupled with an Iris 5100.
