Couldn't wait, I just spent $3k on a new MBP...

My older MBP is dead, I tried to wait out for the new update but wasn't possible any longer :/

Has anyone tried returning a MBP to Apple Store every 14 days until the new one is out? Is there a limit to how many times I can buy and return MBPs?

In the last couple of months I have 'borrowed' a rMB, an Apple Watch and a 13" MPB. Considering buying the 15" to test that out too. Had no trouble returning them so far.

As an added anecdote, I saw some guy in an iPad forum who said his friend (not the greatest looking source I know) who trialled 5/6 iPads in a row before he got bored of making the trip to the Apple Store to maintain it.

Edit: if you really want to push it, there is a way to get them for up to 28 days at a time. At least in the U.K., the T&Cs state you have 14 days from the day you physically come into possession of the product to let Apple know you want to return it. You then have 14 more days from the day you've told them to actually take it back.

This long and painful summer is finally over. It's been pretty miserably hot in here in Pennsylvania, and two Mac-less events did nothing to distract me from the heat.

Looking forward to the cooler weather and my first Mac.

I also have two job offers on the table, so I'm looking forward to integrating macOS into my personal and all new work life for the first time. October should be a great month all around.

Oh to be young and optimistic! How I miss those days!

Never noticed that you're from Pennsylvania. I lived there for 5-6 years!

Anyway, congrats on the job offers! It's so inspiring to see optimism these days.

What laptop is this guy using with Onkyo written on it, Origin ?

Otherwise these imessage stuff are so boring to me (and so is the whole video "tone"), maybe I'm too old, just writing sms/texto or using what's app is really all I need/use for messages ..
And at least SMS are not a proprietary platform ...

Oh and btw, I'm really TIRED of waiting !! :( :(

We're getting close to 1024 pages. Maybe that's when magic happens? Whichever page we reach when the new MBPs are announced in 2019, I am going to win the lottery with that number.

I saw an Apple store employee through the window the other day and she looked like she was very excited, possibly about a rMBP refresh! Or, of course, Hermès bands.

In some city in China a factory worker can no longer afford to feed his children.

Better Apple release the new macbooks sooner so we buy **** ton of them and the factory worker can again feed his children.

I have four major university assignments due early October. I am currently computerless. Should I cave in?

buy MacBook pro now, return it after you complete your assignments, buy 2016 MacBook pro

What will happen first?

- Apple reveals the new MacBook Pro (releases it soon after)
- Nintendo reveals the "NX"
- iPhone 8 parts start to leak
- Jay Electronica releases an album
- North America ends one of the most controversial and unsatisfying presidential election races in history (will probably end in almost 50-50)
- Black Friday shoppers fight over low end, off-brand TV
- Tesla delivers their first Model 3

The lack of leaks is starting to make me loose hope. Why has Apple forgotten us?:(

or Microsoft reveals Surface Book 2
Nintendo Super Mario run releases
Civilization 6 releases

I'm sure the school library has computers. Or go old school and use pen & paper....if that's still allowed.

There is no way a university professor would accept a handwritten paper
