Its more long term... Sure in 2020 when Apple release Kaby Lake CPU based MacBook Pros.

:D

Kaby Lake has been pushed back to 2025 in favour of the Siri Echo Speaker, Hermes Watch bands and the Apple F1 car. Stay Tuned

I'm really hoping for an invite on Monday. Seem feasible for an October event?

Nah, I honestly don't think there is going to be an event. I don't think there is enough to fill one. Obviously new MacBook Pros are coming as they have been reported by the usual reliable sources and maybe a slightly refreshed Air (Skylake, maybe USB C?) I don't think there is anything else coming. iMacs are pretty much running the latest chips as far as i know, I cant see them doing anything with the Mini and if the Mac Pro gets a refresh it won't be anything more than an internal upgrade.

Latest rumours indicated there is nothing new iPad wise coming until next year either and I think they have made it a bit difficult for them to announce new iPads alongside Macs these days with the iPad Pro as a laptop replacement message that they seem keen to push.

I can see them recapping their wireless headphones and the iPhone 7+ new camera mode that are both coming around then. If they update 3-4 macs and possibly a new display you could defiantly have an event.

OK but aside from the new MacBook Pro and maybe a new display what is actually going to require any amount of stage time? The rest are only likely to be minor spec bumps. We'll see but i'd be surprised if they dedicated an event to updating Macs.

I collected some new rumors from a Chinese largest forum:
1. 13" New MacBook and 13" MacBook Pro will be revealed in Oct, and they has begun production.
2. 13" RMBP has neither OLED Bar nor Touch ID, but come with Kaby Lake, 2x USB-C, 1x 3.5mm jack
(an insider got the info from production line)
3. 15" RMBP seems to be missing this Fall Event, but it will be worth the wait because of the Kaby Lake and OLED Bar, Touch ID.

I was deciding between 13" and 15" rmbp, but if 13" has no OLED bar or Touch ID, it will be a weak "Pro", then I keep waiting for the 15" although it may come next year.

Those rumors for reference only, Tim Cook is expected to tell us the truth next month.

Sounds like they have got the 13 inch MacBook mixed up with the 13 inch Pro if true. Can't see them making so much differentiation between the 13 and 15 inch Pros, also fairly sure the leaked chasis was a 13 inch and had 4 USB C ports.

Yes, I'm sorry if I'm unable to make myself clear, as I'm not a native speaker, but I would like to know if there are rumours regarding a price bump for the late 2016 Macbook Pro. Is it staying at $1299?
There is no rumour of a price bump.
Or any pricing.

I think so and also hope they mixed it up.

even if the 15 doesn't get kaby lake im fine with that for now what they should do is kaby lake 13 inch mbp with a skylake 15 and make up for no kaby lake with a kickass gpu gtx 1060/1070/1080/rx480m/ somthing better then what they normally put as dedicated and put dedicated gpus back across the board on the pro. even if they did just 1060s give the lower end model a 3gb and the higher end a 6gb in my opinion that would more then make up for the lack of kaby lake and bring nvidia back in the mac sphere with pascel drivers in the os. but hey this is just my thoughts on it. i need a new mbp for school and want a 15 inch if we don't get a new 15 inch in october il just get the current one.

If they skip the 15 inch i will hunt Tim Cook down myself

How come there are no actual rumors other than that 2nd Gen Serban guy saying that he has "insider" info from the Chinese manufacturer? Any new news from Gurman?

Hello, Serban Gen 2
You're being annoying. He never said he has insider information. He's simply relaying information found on a Chinese forum that is also probably waiting for the rMBP. Obviously he never claimed to be correct or to have dates, he is merely sharing what he found. Geez.

We still have no rumors about the 15" rmbp from the manufacturer or production line.:(

You are right, I have no actual data about those rumors, Apple's manufacturers and suppliers are not likely to release comments, we can only expect the rumors from the production line, if we see any true MacBook parts, then it will not take too long to meet with us. But until now we haven't seen any further pictures leaks out since the leaked chasis a few months ago.

yes, ad-language. i know how both work, so what?
i don't feel any less from my "fake LED viewing experience" as you'd name it.
why does knowing how they work should change my consideration towards one or the other technology?

What!? That doesn't make any sense! If you know that one tech works better than another tech, why wouldn't you go for that tech? Why should anyone settle for any less? However,if you don't like OLED, and you prefer LCD then it's cool. But why go telling people that it's all ad language and OLED isn't anything special blah blah blah. I prefer OLED over LCD...simple. I explained my reasoning in which I conclude that LCD is lesser to OLED. You stated yours that you don't find OLED special. Cool. Now move on.

When I was at the Genius Bar last week to get my 2011 repaired under the GPU extension, I heard the Genius next to me trying to sell an older couple on the non-Retina MBP. I really wanted to blurt out how it's 4+ year old hardware and to go for something else to replace their cMBP, but it wasn't my place to be the consultant and do the needs assessment to guide them towards something else.

I wouldn't bet my house but I think you could be right although I am skeptical on the mac pro and mac mini.

It would be great though if it was an accross the board upgrade of all Apple computers [even including a Kabylake Macbook] but I have a feeling it will be limited to the macbookpro, imac and a possible display.
