If the new MBP will be ready to ship in the second half of October, can we expect an avent or a press release on the first half ?

So the decision will need to be done soon !
Still hesitating between the top13 model
Basic 15 with iGPU
Or maybe even top 15 with dGPU ...
Will be pre ordering as soon as possible in any case.

I think we should start thinking about a tshirt or some sort of gadgets about this thread to show to the world when the wait will be finally over.

Imagine walking into Apple Store to buy new MBPr wearing a shirt with written "I WAITED FOR SKYLAKE FOR 1240 PAGES" and on the back "...AND I'M STILL HERE!"

Invite hint predictions?
"Mac. More 'functional' than ever."
;)
Speaking of this, does anyone still believe they are keeping the FN button on keyboards? I've yet to hear a convincing reason for it. I think we should start getting used to ESC being at the bottom of our keyboards.

guys... an macrumors article comes out today saying nothing we didn't already know with no official announcement from Apple and you guys all go crazy like the second coming of Jesus.

I think we have all lost it.

You know, I'm very much looking forward to the new mbp but I'm not fond of dongles, especially not dongles with small connectors. I have to use a micro hdmi to hdmi dongle on my current ultrabook and because the connector is so tiny and the cable heavy, it loosened up the port and is not giving a good contact anymore.
I kinda dislike the dongle life and having to think which dongle not to forget. I dislike it so much I'm thinking of getting the 2015 mbp, but every time I think of buying, the price reminds me I should not. Prices haven't once been lowered in my country since release a year and a half ago and there aren't any refurbs available, ever. Also I can't buy second hand as I prefer US qwerty and people in my country use azerty as a standard and neighboring countries use international qwerty or qwertz. Sucks.

I have 60 tabs opened and usually, at least one gulp process that watch / webpack running (f you're into webdev) and a Django server. This is **** that it's slow in those conditions.
There's nothing wrong with my machine, apart from outdated, over-expensive hardware...

I should mention that 60 is because I'm limited by this crap machine. On my maxed out 2013 machine, I could have 150-200.

For that many tabs, maybe you should try using FF with Tab Groups extension or something to manage what's open at any given time. Not sure why you'd even want to have 200 active tabs open at the same time...but it sounds like a memory issue and not so much a processor problem.
