He seems to want more ports...I think.
Same old complains.
I don't think more Ports can makes you more "Pro".. And saying New MacBook it's a "failure" because it only has one port definitely missing the point that rMB was meant to be a wireless machine.

No...you're taking too serious.Macbook is a good machine, not the right for me.I was just saying my wishes and my needs, not complain.

You say so.Never said its a failure. You can't deny that you need some external hubs to have more ports and yes you can say that when you buy you need to know more and better what fits with you, and..this can go forward eternally.Just sayn. That's all.Just one thing, maybe those are just old wishes, but i think they could sell damn well.( Sorry about typpos i'm unpaired with my sight )

What is it more specifically that you don't like with the case design?
This is interesting. From flat to hump, when the ziggurat design?I don't like it.Simple.That being said, stayn on topic,i hope next macbook pro are not far but soon, with bells and whistles but without that kind of design..stayng thick like they're now but with Thunderbolt 3 and Skylake, will be ok for me.

No.That case is ugly.Period.Some choices Apple does aren't for me and i think can do more, that's all.I understand its just my point of of view.
Glad you think something different, I understand not everyone had a same view.

If you are talking about MacBooks (including MacBook Air) thick-to-thin body lines, it's called tapered design.

Not really,i'm just tryin to understand,as you as well, from what we know what direction Apple is,literally, building right now, that case is jst ugly,i hope its not that the direction..even if that hump makes me think to some sort of egpu slot on the back of a new Thunderbolt 3 cinema display...Just wondering and speculating around the rumors.

Smart case? I agree it's not "Apple style" things, but it's a compromises, I don't think they knows a better way to put battery inside and quiet possible that Jonathan Ive didn't design this.

It's kind like "the dots from iPhone 6/6s" and "bottom charging port for Magic Mouse 2" things, sometime just have to make a compromise.

Well..i hope could mean Schiller and Ive are working so hard on something so spectacular to be not able to check for things like that case ;)

Hardware-centric March event, anyone?

I know we all care about the laptops the most, but the Mac Pro will be at 800 days, the Mac Mini at 500 days, iPad Air at 500 days, and the Thunderbolt Displays at 1,630 days since a release come March 1st, 2016. These are all well above averages.

MacBook Pro 15" will be at 285, with the 13" at pretty much a year in March. Still a long gap, though.

It'll be interesting to see what we get come March. It'd be cool to get everything updated with Skylake, TB3, and color options.

I think there will be a hardware-centric event in March. Apple rarely release new products in January/February.

Once Apple secures the necessary chips from Intel I agree the Mac Pro will likely be updated. New MacBooks, new Macbook Pro with possible choice of colour options, probably new Macbook Air with no force touch and likely the last iteration of the Macbook Air before Apple sells only the new Macbook and and Macbook Pro in 2017.

Mac-Mini gets very little love so I don't think Apple will be rushing to put Skylake in them but we can live in hope.

I have little confidence a Thunderbolt Display will be arriving in March.

Mac Mini gets very little love? How come?

Actually, speaking about Mac Pro, it's based on LGA2011, which it's only a port. That means we can swap a Xeon E7 if we really want.
lol

Yes Mac Pro is really behind in terms or refresh...they didn't make work the Gpu in terms of swapping, because they are, isn't it?Maybe a new headless mac and new cinema display with egpu slot and thunderbolt 3 could mix pro and mini together,
with a low base cilindric one with GT4 to a configuration with the cinema TB3 display...i know..its wild dreaming here but ( because of the Imac also..)..we have a lot of time from here to March..even if i see March more for Iwatch2,iphone6c,ipad air3,AppleTv-A9 parade sort of and WWDC for Mac ( Mini, pro,Cinema D..Macbook 12-2016,Macbook pro 14-16 ),then in October Ipad Pro 2-A10x,Mini5 with A9 and iphone 7,7+_A10.We will see.

What is it with your hatred of spaces after punctuation? They are only here to help.

Don't hate. Accept and love them. Everyone will get along so much better.

I do hope next time I will get a well-made MacBook Pros.

I think due to the production lines were getting bigger than ever, they have to cut down the profits to make sure everyone can get one, now the products I owned (6s and a nano) were all having detail issues. Like the edge of my screen didn't lined up as it should and the edge was not smooth. I even saw some hairy things sticking out on my iPod Nano.
(Although at first I wasn't to expect they are going to be build as same as the iPhones). And the Gold color didn't match my iPhone's Gold color. The volume button were loosely attached on the case and the port doesn't lined up as it should.

Those things bugged me pretty bad and I even sent an e-mail to Cook about this, but he seems no reply, guess too many people having the same thoughts with me.

Now I'm sure there will be a well made one, just we can't choose.

Hey, let's get back to this thread's topic instead of going at each other.

Back on topic: My battery's health is down to 73% :-( Can't stay away from a wall outlet more then 3 hours. Very painful, though it does get me reminiscing on my first laptop (12" PowerBook G4) which got me about the same time when it was new lol

This wait is killing me.

So I am predicting:

Skylake
Nvidia GPU
4k Retina
New Design with Gold, Spacegrey and Silver Option
