Isn't London's newly remodeled store reopening on the 15th...Is Apple really going to stock it up with outdated old models right before the updated models are due to be announced or launched?

Hey you guys!
###Some exciting news from Chinese forum because I'm a Chinese!###
1. Rumors said that Apple is going to send the invitation on Oct 13 and hold the event on Oct 20!
2. There will be a new 13 inch MacBook, wich is not called Air anymore.
And it will come with 4 colors as the 12 inch MacBook.
3. But the pro may only come with the silver color.
4. 15'' pro will be realeased with the AMD polaris.
5. iMac will update its processors.
6. MacBook Pro will come with skylake chip.
7. The touch pad of MacBook Pro will probably support Apple Pencil and the Dynamic Function Row will come with both 13'' and 15''.
Bad news here:
no news about Mac Mini, Mac Pro
# Note that these are all rumors, so I won't be responsible for my words. But the source is quite reliable since it comes from the workers doing the manufacturing work in China!
# So just be ready for the celebration with new Macs!
[doublepost=1476081655][/doublepost]And I registered an account on Mac Rumors just to bring this Great News to all of you who is waiting for macbooks desperately like me!
Hope you guys have a good October without worrying about the new Macs.
Just save money and stay tuned!:p

Man I love this guy (girl)!! Please be true. Don't play with my heart.

Funny enough I was just thinking how cool it would be for the new macs to have some sort of Apple Pencil support. It's a great product and it deserves to be used on a wider range of devices. Sucks for the MacPro users though...

They are legally obliged to enter a quiet period before an earnings call. I'm not sure if there are any hard and fast rules on how long but I would be surprised if they announced a host of new Mac products five days beforehand

This.

During a Quiet Period, a publicly listed company cannot make any announcements about anything that could cause a normal investor to change their position on the company's stock. Normally, that means the company does not discuss any of the following: Major product or service announcements. (From Wikipedia, but it's true)

Of course maybe MBPs are no longer considered a major product

Yes probably.

There is a lot of straw clutching going on here but the fact is unless the invites are out today or tomorrow there isn't really the time to hold an event before the earnings calls.

Again they can't be announcing new products right before an earnings call, which is why the Chinese rumour posted earlier is very unlikely to be true and why the likes of Gruber are predicting an announcement around the 27th after the call. This also fits with the information Macrumours had last week citing a late October launch.

The only way they could come before the call would be by way of a press release but that would need to be in the next week or so.

Eventually, of course, lack of an announcement will cause a normal investor to change their position on the company's stock.;)

With no Kaby Lake available for the the 15"MBP, that means Skylake until 2018 (CoffeeLake)
But with available Kaby Lake for 13" MBP, it would leapfrog it's bigger brother.
I believe this has happened in the past, but just for a short time.

Looking at the Intel roadmap, should we even expect Apple to go Skylake given how dated it is?
Sure Apple can downplay this by talking macOS and perhaps the OLED bar.
I think the time of Apple designed CPU's is just around the corner. Perhaps not, this first model year, but maybe revison 2.

Knowing Mr Cook he will drop not-so-subtle hints about "amazing new products launching soon" whenever a deflection from criticism about Apple's performance is required.

And he'll have plenty of opportunity!

But wouldn't that confirm the reason to delay the earnings call? Cause we're going to get an invite this week and an event next week. They HAVE to do something with Microsoft about to refresh their Surface ... again.

I assure you guys THIS IS TOTALLY RELIABLE!
I was about to post that SAME rumor after my damn work but just find it booms and spreads fully here.
@VISLAN is not Serban, he just reposted the news from the Chinese#1 apple forum like I did before.
The first hand rumor came from a RELIABLE guy (I called him Insider in my previous post )
who has correctly predicted several Apple new products & events.

So, I cannot believe more than this, let's put this thread to an end on Thursday morning.

But now I feel so sad:( cause I am leaving you guys that no one here needs more rumors.

See you next year!

According to the Verge:
Sources familiar with Microsoft's plans tell The Verge that the company isn't planning to refresh its Surface Pro 4 or Surface Book devices at the event, and will showcase laptops and devices from OEMs instead.

As reliable as your #1 rumors from 1 month ago?

I collected some new rumors from a Chinese largest forum:
1. 13" New MacBook and 13" MacBook Pro will be revealed in Oct, and they has begun production.
2. 13" RMBP has neither OLED Bar nor Touch ID, but come with Kaby Lake, 2x USB-C, 1x 3.5mm jack
(an insider got the info from production line)
3. 15" RMBP seems to be missing this Fall Event, but it will be worth the wait because of the Kaby Lake and OLED Bar, Touch ID.

I was deciding between 13" and 15" rmbp, but if 13" has no OLED bar or Touch ID, it will be a weak "Pro", then I keep waiting for the 15" although it may come next year.

Those rumors for reference only, Tim Cook is expected to tell us the truth next month.

Lets be clear people like Mark Gurman and Ming Chi Kuo etc are reliable sources. If they call something, they stand behind it, their credibility, and that of the organisation they work for, is a stake if they are completely wrong.

Faceless anonymous poster on a forum, any forum, is not a reliable source. Might have well let Serban carry on with his drivel.

We have had the same nonsense posted perviously "from reliable insiders Chinas number one Apple forum" and it all turned out to be completely wrong. I'm sure China has got more than its fair share of Serbans pretending that they have some kind of inside information.

If people are saying somebody is reliable lets see a summary of their track record.

C'mon peeps, at least we have actual rumours. Mac rumours on Macrumors! Who knew the day would come?!

Also this thread is never going to die, we've already got a new home waiting at "Waiting for Kaby Lake MBP" thread. Considering starting "Waiting for Coffee Lake MBP" already so nobody can steal my crown but I think mods wouldn't like it.

Someone earlier said they started a 'Waiting for Coffee Lake' thread and it got killed. But considering that Coffee lake is what, 2 years away? And this thread will have been going for 3 years on 26th Oct, seems odd.

"....I just..... I don't know if I can believe you anymore. I've been hurt too many times before..."

I'm obviously kidding; being lied to on MacRumors isn't going to crush my soul. That being said, guys, if you are trolling, PLEASE stop. If these rumors are false I'll be fine, but we're at the point where it would be a SERIOUS disappointment.

I'll believe you for now, but come the 13th if there isn't an announcement I'll low key loose faith in humanity. And this is coming from a person who still HAS that faith even after this election.

Yes! If you have 'insider information', send it to the site. If they deem it worthy and post it on the front page they'll give you credit. If you don't think it's front page worthy or know that it WON'T be posted on the front page, then shut it.
