If I was you, I wouldn't trust that guy!
I have an one on order, with the 6820HK and i'm fine with it. There's no reason to wait for Intel to produce Iris Pro chips because it really seems like they're still having production issues or something going on, 6700, 6820 is standard fare for most gaming laptops. Plus who plans on hanging out in Iris land when you have a hotrod GPU. Besides, there may not even be Iris Pro Kaby to begin with, but there will probably be a quad core HT variant that everyone will update to. Apple is the only one beholden to Iris Pro (to be fair, they approached Intel to create it).

I know; I got quote alert from his post and had to literally scroll and search for where he quoted me. I don't even want to reply so I don't have to edit out his other responses.
Man I'm worried about the prices. The current rmbp 13 with 8gigs of ram costs around 1300 Canadian refurbished, I think the retail cost is around 1500. I really can't afford a big jump in prices. If the jump is too big then I will be hoping the current models are discounted further and I will grab the current gen model.
I am very curious about EU/UK prices for the new model. Thanks to Brexit I grabbed the 2015 model really cheap, and the price is still unchanged (I think?) on Apple website, but I'm pretty sure the new MBP will skyrocket in price here. Unless Apple decide to go for volume rather than margins, but this happens approximately never.
I'm curious to see the prices for the US. I may grab the new 15" if the price stays relatively the same as it is now ($2000).

Only if it's a make your own story style. Some options can include Serban not being a fraud, others can include Kaby Lake being included in MBP 15" models.

No but they wouldn't release the 15" model without the dGPU, then later release the 15" model with a dGPU... maybe they would. I was just throwing it out there. I do agree with the original poster, and that the Iris pro skylake models was the main reason for the delay

Apple Town Hall? Tim mentioned that it would probably their last presentation there (unless they release some whizbang watch strap that they just have to gush about. I think they'd present out of a Marriott ballroom so they don't have to go back on their initial statement.
