... it is clear Apple has lost interest in the Mac. Even if we get an update (hahahaha) they are so infrequent, and the yearly macOS updates so minor, "The Mac" is at clearly the bottom of the interest pile for Apple. The only updates we get are to dumb down the product ...
... the reason Apple introduced this other leader was to gauge the reaction, and it was overwhelmingly positive ...

Apple will continue to make the darwin underpinning of the macOS, but thats it. Nintendo will be responsible for the hardware and interface. The much maligned Mac App Store will go away, to be replaced by loveable Nintendo Cartridges.
