I just remembered where the 20th came from. It was that guy who claimed to be from the chinese forum, aka Mark Gurman pretending to be a guy from the chinese forum, secretly trying to save us from our misery.

tbh I'm just posting in hopes that one of you will respond "Hush! Look here: ________" and post a link to the apple event happening 5 minutes from now.

which means it can handle atleast 4,294,967,296 posts. So we have awhile

In the meantime, no invites yet?
:(

There's a definite slight decrease in searches for MacBook Pros. Maybe Tim and Co are right and we're becoming a more and more niche market segment.
Naah. Most of us just gave up and either bought the 2015 model or a Surface Pro. There's like 20 left of us in this thread, crawling in desperation among the clickbait posts, trying to find that last elusive sliver of hope on a Chinese forum, adding miserable memes *looks at own avatar for no reason* and threatening to move to Windows if Skylake MBPs don't come in March... then June... then August... then October... soon January...

I really really hope that front page story is just inserting an old piece of text and it has been forgotten to be updated......otherwise we can expect it to be pushed back to Nov.

That would be a load of bull**** if it's actually pushed back.

Does Apple not understand? Your mac sales are falling BECAUSE you haven't updated them in a long time! If you want better sales numbers, maybe you should introduce an update, so that people have something to buy from you!

Not updating is less important than just producing casual machines.

I haven't visited this thread in about a week. Came here tonight expecting to have missed a load of announcements and find you all in a high state of excitement now that the new Macs were here... finally, really here!

Silly, silly boy...

If they add 2tb to the macbook pro will that mean lower prices for 1tb? Or would they just make the 2tb hella expensive

I already have rMBP 15" mid-2015 and iMac 5K 27" late 2015. This is not enough. I need rMBP 15" late 2016 and Surface Pro 5!

I think Apple is going to remove the lowest storage option (1TB Fusion Drive would be the lowest trim), hence reducing prices. Like they did with the iPhone.

However, at this moment, we don't even know IF there are going to be new MBPs.

To me, if Apple did not hold a Mac event before the earnings call, then they could defend declining Mac sales as due to interest in iPad Pros for computing - rather than lack of updates.
This way they can more smoothly introduce people to the idea of dropping the Mac line entirely over the coming years.
Confirmed: no new Macs before earnings call.
