Sorry for my ignorance, but what does dGPU mean? I've read it everywhere but don't know the meaning. (I obviously know what GPU is but not the "d". Might be "dedicated"?

"D" stands for "discrete", as in separate. This is in contrast to the majority of the graphics cards found on laptops, which are included together with the CPU ("integrated" GPU, or iGPU).

Honestly, I don't see Apple getting it to retailers with any great speed. There's just no need. They ABSOLUTELY wouldn't alert retailers beforehand because they'd want to keep it a secret.

Don't get me wrong VISLAN. Im never blaming the messager. I'm just a bit skeptical about the Chinese sources, since their information is 1) already known or 2) just false. But, I know you're just sharing the things you read on their forum, and it gives us things to discuss and think about. So, please, continue telling us their rumours. eBay has sellers that'll ship to europe. pricey ($250 for shipping alone), but might be worth it if the situation goes to the dogs
I would say that any new update is going to be in high demand and may take several weeks to arrive at the third party retailers. Based on the pent up demand, my guess is there will be a 2-3 week delay to get one even from the online Apple store. When the 2012 retina mbp came out, I ordered the day it was announced and had to wait 3 weeks before it arrived from China. Something similar may happen here.
Your best bet may be to place an order with them as soon as it's announced or as soon as they will take orders (even if backordered) so you get their first shipments. Not sure if this is possible but something to look into.
I'll change my avatar to an even more dramatic one, the thread will get another 300 pages in one week, Tim will get more emails, Apple will continue advertising the 2015 model as "latest generation Intel processors". So in other words, nothing will change.
