Come on guys, apple aren't going to redo their flagship mac product after 4 years of the same design with a simple press release. There will be an event and it will be amazing. We will all forget about the wait and delays until about a week after the presentation when we all start to whinge about how long they are taking to ship.

I don't even understand the big deal about an MBP redesign. The design of the latest models doesn't look dated. Aside from bezel shrink, it's fine.

the rMBP is still the most aesthetic laptop on the market

This. Exactly. Especially the "whinge about the shipping time" part.

People don't whine about the dated design.

People whine about the fact that it's close to 2017 and the specs on the MBP are from the goddamn 2013. And they're selling it at $2000

Yep, definitely passed the invite time for today. But on the plus side, in less than 96 hours we'll know for sure whether or not we're getting Macs this October.

I honestly don't find the bezel on my 2012 rMBP that bad. My wife's 13" Air on the other hand is pretty bad. But that could be because she lacks a retina display and the bezel is aluminum. I'd still like for them to shrink the bezel so we could get a 16" screen in there, but I agree. Outside of some worn out keyboard letters, this thing is immaculate. Oh and the crappy 1 hr battery (69% health after ~850 charges) is a disgrace.

Even if Apple refreshed the rMBP now in 2016 with the Skylake Chips Macrumors front page is saying in 2017 Apple will have to again refresh it with the Kabylake processors so again everyone would be waiting in 2017 !! Gosh !! This waiting game is very frustrating !!

It's the fact that they haven't been updated in 3 years. Improved battery, thinner, lighter, some updates, would be nice. Stale, stagnant, whatever you want to call it. It is kind of customary to see hardware updates at least reasonably often. It is what made Apple is what it is.

Well hardware-wise yeah. But you have people wanting a complete redesign of the macbook pro or assuming it'll be a huge redesign. That's more what I was getting at. The design of the rMBP, aside from the bezel isn't dated by any means.

Redesign would just be exciting, but I'm not requiring it as long as the display is updated. But I certainly don't need it to be "thinner". It's the updated specs that I care about the most.
