  • The big news will be an update to the MacBook Pro, representing the high-end laptop’s first overhaul since 2012. The updated professional laptop will include a thinner case, larger trackpad, faster graphics cards, and a secondary display in place of the standard function keys at the top of the keyboard. The virtual keys will change based on the application in use. For example, Apple’s word processor would show editing commands. Apple is already working with select developers to optimize third-party applications for the feature, another person familiar with the matter said.
  • A new version of the iMac has been in development with an option for new graphics chips from AMD. While the computer market has shifted toward laptops, the iMac remains important for users like video editors who require more power and larger screens.

  • A new version of the MacBook Air with multi-functional USB-C port technology has also been in development. While the MacBook Air doesn’t include newer high-end features like Apple’s sharper display technology, the product is key to the lineup as it is the company’s most affordable laptop, currently starting at $899.

I wonder how many of us actually made it.

I've been waiting since February and I consider myself in the middle of the spectrum of wait time for people who have been waiting.

Just think — around this time 6 months ago — we were on page 384 of this thread.

Reading posts from this guy named Serban.

And I remember reading shortly thereafter that MacBook Pros wouldn't come at WWDC but would wait until the fall. I thought oh god that's so far away... yet here we are...this has been a REALLY long wait.

I'm really excited about getting the invitations. I don't remember a more awaited event than this for true Mac People (those who met apple by Mac and not by ios devices)...so the invitation will be my wallpaper these days as a tribute!! "Rebirth of the Mac" would be a cracker name!

Been a long year and a half, I actually almost pulled the trigger on a current 15 inch yesterday

Does anyone else think Apple will stick with 8GB RAM in the base model 13"? I think the higher tier model will have more storage and 16GB RAM default. Whatever happens we will find out in a week!
I'm tempted to sell my 15" rMBP in anticipation!

I really hope and pray that the base model will be 16gb ram for the 13" models. I pray I say!
[doublepost=1476831325][/doublepost]Finally a rumor/story that's not about Samsung exploding products!

Recode "sources confirmed..." (nice works Ina Fried!)
Gurman "people familiar with the matter"

How many months and pages, and it's confirmed by this hehe.

"It’s going to be a busy week.
Apple has its earnings report on Tuesday,
Microsoft is holding a Windows 10 hardware event in New York on Wednesday
and then the new Macs will debut on Thursday."
