So, we're getting the redesign and slightly better specs now. Are they also gonna release a new spec upgrade in March? <SNIP>

Could we see something similar to that here? a Kaby lake MBP release in March, that's only a spec upgrade, not a redesign?

Would an incremental processor upgrade be that big a deal to most users ?

First thing I'm doing on my new 15" MBP with a dGPU is opening up Final Cut Pro and parodying this thread parting ways with my MacBook Fast and Furious, see you again driving off into the sunset style

Just think — around this time 6 months ago — we were on page 384 of this thread.

Reading posts from this guy named Serban.

And I remember reading shortly thereafter that MacBook Pros wouldn't come at WWDC but would wait until the fall. I thought oh god that's so far away... yet here we are...this has been a REALLY long wait.

180 days and incredibly almost 21.000 messages ago...

What a long run.

So it is already the 18th of October. Is Skylake a history? At this point of time I would rather wait for Kaby Lake.

Guys, I'm sorry, but I think today might be a crazy dream. ALL this happened to me today:
  1. A MacBook Pro rumor came out with a solid release date
  2. I saw an election poll out of Utah which showed it to be a 3-way race: Tump (30%) Clinton (28%), and McMullin (29%)
  3. I walked into my lab to see everything covered in a tarp, like it was a murder scene. I didn't see anyone in the entire building. I left there sharpish.
  4. I saw someone I met in my class last year who said he stayed in university for an extra year to do a minor in German (?)
I'm just gonna go to bed. If we all wake up and none of this was real, I'm awfully sorry. Though I guess if it is a dream it won't matter si nycg vecayse (wait what? I did NOT type that. I left to go put my food in the oven and that just appeared. Guys, I'm not joking even slightly. Have I actually lost my mind?)

I never wanna hear 'Apple doesn't care about Mac, it's phasing it out' again.. straight from Mark the Messiah Gurman
"While Apple mainly relies on sales of the iPhone, the Mac line remains a key component of the business. Macs made up more than 10 percent of 2015 revenue, the second-largest source of sales. In the most-recent quarter, Mac revenue continued to outpace iPad sales, showing resiliency in a category that some analysts have said would be cannibalized by tablets."

Also it looks like Adobe could be one of the third parties you would hope to take advantage of the OLED Bar "Apple is already working with select developers to optimize third-party applications for the feature, another person familiar with the matter said."

Just curious, what besides gpu sets a desktop gaming pc out from a mbp. I'm hoping that the new mbp has egpu support so I can boot into windows and play with pc friends. I just am not sure though if the rest of mbp hardware is up to snuff for gaming. If not I'll just continue with my xbox and new MacBook Pro instead of having one device to rule them all.

10%

iPhone = 70 + %

So I'm guess I'm going to have to return the HP Omen I got with a GTX 1070 in it. It sure it nice running Overwatch in 4K, but of course Windows 10 scales so badly with 4K which is an issue for me.

Any rumors on the GPU we'll get in the 2016 MBP?
