Just don't forget that hindsight is always 20/20. When they used "hello (again)", the then-Mac-forums were livid about Apple presenting a computer without serial ports, ADB or SCSI in favor of USB. Re-using the headline is less an indication of a ground-breaking computer than one that reduces port types *again* to USB.
Oh of course, but it was also proper revolutionary. There was more to it than removing serial ports. I expect them to release an iMac that I will want to buy for hubby instead of building him a Hackintosh and a rMBP I will want to buy despite having the 2015 one.

Edit: make it coffeeproof and I am buying.

Hey guys does. anyone know what the price of the entry level MacBook Pro will be after the student discount in the UK?

No way of knowing until they announce. There is definitely going to be some re-adjusting of prices post-Brexit. Coupled with the possibility of a price rise anyway, those in the UK are in for a bad time.

My guess is 1349 quid. Oh wait, student discount. 1214 quid.

*is fully prepared not to get any likes for this post*

I miss when we had 15% student discount, why did it have to go down to 10% :(.

I hadn't even considered the new MacBook Pro having those butterfly keyboards. I really hope they don't. That travel distance is way too small.

But are you guys sure that the 15" rMBP would have the Skylake chips because the verge is satin back in May 2016 when the 13" rMBP was updated with the Broadwell Processors the chip for the 15" rMBP was not ready and later there were some problems with Intel's Roadmap. The Verge goes on to say that Microsoft had put the Skylake ship in its surface Pro machines and it was plagued with excessive heat and causing machine shut down so keeping all these in Mind do you guys think that the 15" rMBP will have Skylake chips or it will be just outer body and cosmetic change no hardware change ?

One more question for the student discount: The verification is via Unidays here. When are they asking for it as everyone can access the education store? I realized that it's possible to login on Unidays first and then access the Apple store from their page but I'm scared that this page won't be updated directly when the shop goes online. Does anyone have experience with what's the fastest way?

The issues wth the Surface Pro and Surface Book have long been resolved, as an owner of a surface book, i can state that I've not run into any stability, or heat issues.

If not skylake what then? I think the hue and cry over a broadwell chipset would be massive

You just log in through unidays, quite simple http://www.apple.com/uk/shop/browse/home/education_routing/find_your_institution/access alternatively just go into a Apple Store and show them your ID.
