Apple has never 'explained' delays or ignoring customers. They came out with the MacPro in 2013 after 3 years with no updates like nothing happened. Seems like they're going to be doing the same thing next Thursday.

As long as Timmy is going to come out and start talking about the 15" rMBP with the Skylake chip I am ok with if he decides to ignore rest of the things. And yes I want it in a Silver Colour as the current rMBP's

I'm definitely looking forward to a new 15" with dGPU one day :) Although, the one I'm on now is the best computer I even had and works perfectly.

Apart from that, why make the invite so dark and gloomy? I associate to autumn in the colouring at the same time the logo looks a bit like a moon overshadowed by clouds. Or an autumn-apple that's been on the ground for too long. It could also refer to the Apple rising out of the darkness of not updating their computer lines :)

I just don't understand the shading they've done, I guess. Looking forward to the event!

Looks like fireworks to me. I'm guessing they are celebrating Apple's 40th anniversary since they didn't do anything product-wise back in April.

$2,000 is my spending limit for the 15" with AppleCare. I think this will be possible after tax with student discounts and $100 off with my new Amex, which means the 15" can cost up to $2,200 for that to be feasible. I was originally going to do a 13", but after landing a summer internship that's my reward lol.

Definitely going to do classic silver, never had a Mac before and want to experience that classic feel.
Hey you can buy AppleCare later, just saying, you have up to 1 year to purchase AppleCare. If you slip past your first year you can't get AppleCare for it...

I'm not sure if Small business are eligible for substantial discounts. If you work for a larger organization you can literally walk into an Apple store with your badge/ID to see if you're on The List. Or check your corporate intranet for access to your company specific Apple portal.
I am just giving this a THUMBS UP cause I am rolling with the comedy!! haha, "I'm not sure if a Small Business..." Microsoft == Small Business NOW haha, it's just kept rolling....

This is why I see Apple getting away from the MacPro. They're undeniably a consumer company more then anything else. They have a form over function mentality which doesn't bode well for the corporate/work environment.
I listened to Windows Weekly last night, and they are saying that Microsoft is getting ready to quite possibly get out of the "Consumer Industry" and go strictly "Corporate Only", except for Xbox. Meaning they still might make Surface Products, but those products would strictly be "Corporate Models" that consumers could still buy but you get what they are saying.

And then if you look at Apple they are going full force into Consumer/Health/Home and getting out of Corporate/Business Services/etc...

Kinda sick but it makes perfect sense. its like two QIX like objects floating around like \ and / collided made a + then split and now you have — and |, in my mind totally opposite but complimentary.

Could you image if Apple, Microsoft, and IBM merged? hehe jk...

But the Consumer Company vs the Corporate Company, would be a good battle to watch see who rakes in more cash!

Hi guys, regocije I come with new Leaks from DarkerGuy...

The 4 ports on the new rMBP are 2 TB3 and 2 USB-C, TB3 ports capable to suport Retina 5K Thunderbolt display (Available on Q4 or at rMBP'm16 launch).

The 16" model to have dGPU AMD Polaris 11 4GB.

both base models near 100$ cheaper, RAM/SSD options cheaper too.

Magic Toolbar having an actual display not just pre-drawn images, added functions include Siri on command.

I just want to bring up this post. This is the first mention of a Magic Toolbar here on this thread. The comment was posted on June 2 so it was after Kou's OLED bar rumor. This DarkerGuy or DarkNetGuy or whatever he's called seemed to be a joke at first but he got the name of the touch bar right. Should we expect $100 cheaper base models?

Oh yes your post reminds me of the size change rumors. Man if the 15 inch goes to 16" in the same footprint these would sell out instantly.

When was it confirmed "Magic Toolbar"? Has it been a week and the event has happened already?

So it look like someone is still buying Mac Pros, albeit to compare it a Windows Desktop
That was hilarious. I remember when they (Mac Pro'13) came out, and the comparisons were fairly "ok." Now 3 years later, he is doing this video? wtf? I kinda hope they don't release a Mac Pro and then 7 years from now he can make another video, so I can laugh more. Holo Lens was sweet tho...

God I'm hoping prices don't skyrocket on this new system. I've saved up $3200 for a new maxed out unit with AC (edu discount). Would be pretty upset if I have to spend more then that, but wouldn't put it past Apple.

I understand upgrading the ssd and ram in the MacBook Pro. but do you really think paying ~$300 extra for a ~0.3 gdz speed boost is worth it? I'm not trying to be mean. I'm legitimately curious.

So let me be sure if I understand this AppleCare policy...

Are you guys saying you can buy your Mac, wait 364 days, then buy another 3 years of AC coverage, essentially giving you 4 years of warranty?

I remember when this thread was only getting 1-2 new pages per day!
Oh yes. I was young then...

No. You wait 364 days, then buy AC which extends your TOTAL warranty to 3 years. So you get additional 2 years and 1 day.

When you buy the "3 years" you get 3 years from the purchase date regardless of when you tack it onto the original 1 year.

Same with the 4 years if you're talking about the special university apple care program.

Why do I get the feeling that there won't be MacBook Pros in different colours? Its like the CEO inside me is telling me, "no Uni Grad that ain't gonna work out". Like I can't really gulp down the thought of a pink MacBook Pro? Or Gold even? Silver is a given. Matte Black maybe? just maybe?

I personally can't imagine a pink MBP. but if it's only matte black and silver. I'm going to have to go silver. matte black is too much for me. for me it will feel like I have an Alienware/Razer laptop.

especially I think the matte black might scratch and show the silver underneath.
