Even if the 512 gb doesnt come stock, I really hope they lower the prices of their SSDs. I dont understand how a 1tb ssd can cost $800 more than a 512 gb
I doubt 512 will be standard. Prices will probably go down a bit though hopefully.

Well I thought it was significantly cheaper , but it isn't . Your point :D But you have to keep in mind that the igpu version much cooler and maybe a bit more quiet is , due to another fan
if they confirm eGPU gaming, i'm probably gonna pass on the dGPU and use their equivalent to razor core or w/e.

Well if you compare it to the competition, yes I do think it has huge bezels.

Dat webcam though. *officially completes full circle*

If you add the top+bottom bezel size on Dell it's probably exactly the same as rMBP. I'll give you the side ones, but having used Air for a few months I keep on thinking they're tiny.

Do people seriously look at a rMBP and think "this thing has huge bezels"?

iMac, Air, yes, I get that. But rMBP? Do I have some sort of mini-bezel-limited-edition?
MACBOOKPRO

Yes, they kind of do have a thick bezel ... even half a centimeter thinner would look awesome

Currently own a 13 Retina and thinking to get more involved with coding using Xcode. Is there a huge benefit of having the 15"? I understand that screen real estate is king but 2" - is that really noticeable?

Love the 13" footprint.

It is for me but you might feel differently. The quad core processor in the 15 might be useful.

I don't think the bezels are too thick on the macbook - I am happy for it to get thinner but I don't want it to get flimsy or difficult to open (I think the XPS line in general are not pleasant to open/close).

The camera being in a good location is important, for both personal (Facetime with family) and business (Group skype video calls).

Some guy from the FBI tapes his camera (for good reasons, considering his position) and everyone now thinks people are interested to look at your face XD.

Imagine, by this time next week -- we will all finally KNOW what's released/options/prices. Some of us may have already placed orders. Hopefully there are a ton of journalists running the new rMBP through their paces now and we get a wealth of performance information too...

My colleague has a 2014 model, I can hear the fan pretty constantly, I don't know if that's normal for 15" Pros. I can never hear the fan in my 13" unless I fire up a game or FCPX.
What's your colleague doing? Like I said in an earlier reply, I virtually never hear the fan on mine (2012 rMBP with NVIDIA 650). Yes if I play a game or encode a video. Certainly not for web browsing, Word, etc.

I hope we get a silver, matte black and matte white ceramic MBP.

They should load the matte white ceramic MBP with OLED P3 Display, 32 GB RAM, 1TB SSD - make it the expensive version of the MBP like they did with the Apple Watch Edition.

Also they should move from plastic keys to ceramic keys. Those would last longer into the future.

My laptop fantasies. :p

Oh god Ceramic & OLED? don't even tempt me.

50% It's the same odds you have for winning the lottery. You either win, or you don't. 50% ;)

Sorry but odds don't work that way, if i had a 50% chance of winning the lottery i would play everyday !

Back to topic virtually 0 chances of removing jack.

While I don't see them removing the headphone jack, I would really like to see the inclusion of a lightning port. It's hard to understand the design concept if they're forcing people to purchase high end lightning headphones for their iphones but then turn around can you can't use them with the macbook pro. Heck, I can't even use the new white ear buds that comes with the iphone 7 with my macbook pro. Do I need to travel with two sets of headphones now with my iphone 7 and new rMBP?

Love the 13" footprint.

Speaking as someone who does iOS dev, if you're just starting the 13" does fine, but as you move to more complex apps, you'll start wishing the build times weren't as long and Xcode would choke less and that's where the quad-core CPU comes in handy.

Live in your own world, while the rest take over. I am pretty sure you would say the same if apple doesn't change those bezels 2 years from now.
