$1399
And what exactly are they doing to the new one that would warrant such a price increase?![]()
Those $1299 prices we see are prices of a product that has depreciated over 4 years, and with price cuts.
They're going to ramp it back up to $1699 - Apple's full of greedy ****, and I wouldn't expect any less from them'

Haven't you heard? And what exactly are they doing to the new one that would warrant such a price increase?
They're putting in an entire SOC according to Kuo and an OLED panel in the keyboard. This might not be that expensive but someone has to pay for the R&D.And what exactly are they doing to the new one that would warrant such a price increase?
I'm going to be truly disappointed if the 13in is going to be $1699. I was really hoping for $1499.
Does anyone else get the feeling that there will be something we are missing? I can't shake this feeling there will be a big surprise that no one has thought of.......maybe it is just me.
I think this is almost certain. The question is whether it'll be 256/16 or 512/16.I can only hope the base 15in is $2199.
I think it should be 256/8 and 512/16. Etc etc (1tb/32gb)I think this is almost certain. The question is whether it'll be 256/16 or 512/16.
You're hoping for a $200 price increase?I can only hope the base 15in is $2199.
I think you are very much overestimating the cost of R&D.They're putting in an entire SOC according to Kuo and an OLED panel in the keyboard. This might not be that expensive but someone has to pay for the R&D.

It would be fine by me if it has 16gb of ram and a 256gb ssd. Or make it 512.
You're hoping for a $200 price increase?
I was kind of just saying that the 512 deserves 16gb ram stock. Sorry I am talking about the 13" models. Why would they divide the amount of RAM by 2, and then add $200 to the price? That wouldn't make any sense
There's got to be something for the low end user especially if they decide to increase the price of the MacBook Pro across the board.
I know a lot of people are mad about the iMac maybe not being updated next Thursday but it doesn't really make me that mad because all I am looking forward to is the MacBook Pro.
