raise them by 50 bucks and call it a day. Student discount in, Retina 15 with dGPU should still be under 2650 € (Currenly is 2570 i think), so...

With the rest of the budget being spent on damn adapters if the 4 usb-c only thing is confirmed.

Given KGI's latest report, it's missing any hint of a RAM upgrade do we all think they're gonna stick to 16gb?

It's people just thinking that because the retina models cost more at launch these models will too. What they don't realize is that the retina cost Apple more to make.

We have to remember though that the original 2012 retinas came with dGPU standard in order to drive the retinas. When they introduced Iris Pro as the standard (with worse perf than the dGPU base model before it) the price went along as well.

Atleast thats the case with the 15", but the price of the 13" dropped at the same time even though the 13" retina had been out for much shorter time (released in Late 2012).

I think the days of $1499 and $2199 base prices are over with. Apple will probably give us low end base specs (128/8GB & 256/16GB) to keep the price reasonable and then charge arm+leg for everything else.

It'd be cool if the Magic Toolbar can play music through headphones / speakers with the laptop sleeping.
I had some piss-poor version of that feature on a laptop I owned in the early 2000's. There was a pre-os environment that would play directly from the CD-ROM tray.

You know, if the trackpad has Apple Pencil support, it would make more sense for Apple to replace the headphone jack with a Lightning port in the MacBook Pro too.

So pls no pencil support

There's no way Apple is going to add Pencil support. Like I said, no hover, and also the whole point of the Pencil was reduced parallax and seeing the ink under like a real pencil / pen.

My gosh the thread is becoming serious!
Where is @Dydegu with his dank memes?!

Anyway seriously, I like this final rush of rumors.
Good promising.

And what's with iMacs not being ready? It's just going to be MBA and the MBA (which sounds like a minor update)? I'm not complaining, but I sympathize with those waiting for the other products. I wonder if we'll get anything that we haven't heard a rumor for? Any surprise would be nice.

Well, three reasons off the top of my head - heat, battery life, fan noise. MBP's are all about balance.

Whatever dGPU they put in has always triggered heat, fan and reduced battery life. In fact, probably not enough fan and cooling because the failure rates have always been much higher on Macs with a dGPU. Battery life is why we have the intelligent switching to the integrated graphics when you are on battery and aren't doing anything intensive that needs the dGPU.

I started lurking mac rumors forums daily in April 2015. It almost feels unreal that we're finally so close.

Here's to new watch bands, and a musical performance!
Cheers mate! You know we can't wait for the new kangaroo leather watch bands.
[doublepost=1477193371][/doublepost]So what thread do we all go after this one closes next Thursday (God Willing)?

I seriously hope there is time set aside for a new winter collection of bands. I'm a bit of an addict collecting these things, and I want more bands!!!!!

Macs, Air Pods going on sale the same day as the new Macs, and lots of new bands, my credit card is ready.
