Waiting for Skylake MBP thread

They said that the model has arrived in the store for some days but only few are allowed to see or touch them. For the 15'' model it has two USBC port on both side and a headphone port. And the logo won't glow confirmed by many assistant in the store.

I don't know, I've heard that Apple Store employees aren't allowed to see the product until the day of its unveiling. I read somewhere that at some point in time they used to package the stock in a way that was tamper proof so employees could move the boxes around but could not see what was inside them. Anyway, if you're right then that means we will be able to buy it very soon.

Also, I feel obligated to ask if you're Serban

EDIT: THANK GOD FOR THE COLOR CHOICES. In my opinion pro laptops don't come in Rose Gold...

Don't shoot me for that, its just not my color.

I would be shocked and I'm a bit more optimistic about Apple not screwing over everyone with prices. 256 is likely imo. The ram is a toss up too but I'm hoping 16 gb. Honestly I'd want 500-1tb with 32 gb of ram doubt I'd be able to get that for $2000. I don't want to have to buy a new computer any time soon

Are you saying the 15 inch has two ports on each side? So 4 in total?

Also do you know anything about the base ssd space?

The leaked casing from June was of the 13" and had 4 USB-C ports so...

I should say that they are not allowed to access or peek about the pros. Only their head and few are allowed to do that. But they kind of heard some message such as how many ports are there or something else. And they refuse to talk more about these things. As that guy said they have to keep the secret. But the information about ports have already spreading fast here, So they don't need to be too careful about the ports. And they refuse to talk about price and specs :(

Part of me wants space grey because its new but i still love the regular silver Macbook pro. Like that design is timeless to me

May be the two port pro is a mistaken of the 13'' air or something. and I don't fully trust what assistants said because they are kind of joking or kidding with me at the Apple Store....:(

Apple Store staff aren't allowed to see unannounced products, not even the packaging. But in China I guess anything is possible.

Oh, I missed that! I also have a 2009 mini. What do you have to hack to make the install work? I haven't updated my MBP yet as the mini is my backup machine that I boot off the SSD pulled from the MBP if/when I repair it again (failing GPU), so keeping them both on El Capitan so I can do that if need be... but perhaps I don't have to. :)
