I haven't updated my MBP yet as the mini is my backup machine that I boot off the SSD pulled from the MBP if/when I repair it again (failing GPU), so keeping them both on El Capitan so I can do that if need be... but perhaps I don't have to.
They are not fully BS, my friends in Shanghai and Nanjing also heard about the same rumor about the new pros. And the products has arrived at these stores these days preparing for the release to show in the store!

one thing though, do you need to speak mandarin to talk to the staff? Or do they speak English. That might be the "one" issue with this plan

Today I went to an Apple Store which is the biggest one in Asia and chat with them about the new MacBook Pro. They said that the model has arrived in the store for some days but only few are allowed to see or touch them. From the message widely spread in that store, they said that 13'' Pro has 2 USB Type-C, on the same side and the other side a 3.5earphone port. For the 15'' model it has two USBC port on both side and a headphone port. And the logo won't glow confirmed by many assistant in the store.
So that's all I got from the local store...... Hope that would help.
Still waiting with hope that I can get it on Friday in Hangzhou.
So you're saying that the chassis leak from earlier in the year was actually of the 15 inch?
Holy ****. I just checked and if the 15" fits in that form factor then there cannot be any bezel... That would be incredible

I think that the rMBp 13 will have 4 ports - it is likely that it was the 13" rMBAir that has 2 ports.
Also I don't think they will have ultra thin bezels like the XPS series (there are some cons to it).
And if that really is the 15", I can start to see why Ming considered this to be such a huge update.
I have been on this thread most of the day reading and typing, it's past my bed time (12:45am) past midnight.
I think the information may be a mistake and in my opinion both 13'' and 15'' will have four ports and I'm going for the class and my research now, so I'll be back soon. And as only two days will go, I think I may not bring new rumors because spreading rumors makes me feel worried that you will hate me or something like that......
Here's my final analysis:
the news rumor is that two usbc 13'' and four for the 15'', and the chassis leak is the 13'' because rumors cited that both 13'' and 15'' has speakers on left and right side of keyboard and the speaker for the 15'' in wider than the 13''. As the leaked chassis is far away, I think Apple may changed the chassis for their reason. And I think why that chassis can leak may be that is kind of abandoned design somehow..... Just my own opinion!
