I've read a lot of MacBook reviews where the keyboard first felt a bit odd but later on the reviewer actually prefers it to the old keyboard. But there is of course a "learning curve". I guess some people hate that curve...

It's not that bad but it's without a doubt not better than the MBP keyboard. I have full (ok not full, just a bit) confidence that Apple can make it better. I'd certainly be surprised if they go butterfly and it's not a bit better than the MB keyboard.

3.5 to 5 years Apple has apparently been rethinking what PC computing is. Tomorrow we get to see what the years of stagnation has resulted in.

I REALLY hope its not "actually we weren't really working on it", here is an OLED strip, and you can use the pencil on the trackpad. Not for my sake, I'm entrenched in Apple world for the next little while, but for Apple's position in the PC market.

Guys,
Do you think the iGPU on the MacBook Pro 15'' will be good enough to fully support the screen resolution (smoothly) while working and using normal apps, and maybe for some light gaming like Hearthstone, Darkest Dungeon etc? Is there any reason why one would need the dGPU for similar use cases (don't care about intensive 3D apps)?

I made a comment about how Mac's have higher revenue then iPads, but didn't realize that iPads probably hold a higher profit margin.

That was the case a couple generations ago. My 2012 is smooth and seamless.

Do you guys know of alternate event streams for windows users? I'll be stuck at work with just a windows 7 machine, which apparently won't be able to watch the official stream.

I usually watch (or listen) to the twit.tv live coverage. They give some commentary as the event is going on, so they sometimes talk over the presentation. Doesn't bother me much though.

You don't have an iPhone or an iPad?

Given that the Surface Studio comes with GTX980M and the lack of emphasis on power equivalence I imagine it's no where near the 1060 or even the 1050.

I kinda like the Studio but don't understand the 980M
Probably because the internals were finalized earlier this yeah and they had a deal with Nvidia? The only other reason I can think of is that they're using the left over 980Ms so they have a special price with Nvidia.

The aio seems amazing but I need a laptop and the surface book seems disappointing? I'm always thinking of making the switch to windows because of revit. But the new surfacebook doesn't offer 32 gb ram and the i7 is a 15watt i7? And not sure how powerful the dgpu is or is going to be compared to the 15 rMBP. AND it costs more. Is it just me or does it seem the rMBP still seems like the way to go?

I do know their two different sizes and I do prefer the 13 in. But would rather have a more powerful laptop
I'm fairly certain the new i7 Surface Book is a quad-core 45W Skylake part, likely the 6700HQ, but I'm looking for some solid confirmation of that.

Interestingly enough it appears MS made it thicker. There's now a slight angle up towards the hinge with added fan vents.

It kind of reminds me of Google's greed with their new Pixel phones (I am talking about the high prices).
Ya this was surprising to me. They're great phones certainly, but I think it needs a $100 price cut ASAP to really move units. At the current prices I think people are still going to be going with the iPhone 7.

Wait is this not a joke? Can you really not watch the stream on a windows machine?

Nope. Work pays for my phone + unlimited data, but requires it be a galaxy S7 because of a custom app. I also can't connect my personal MBP to the network.

Has to be Windows 10 with Edge according to Apple's event page.

connect macbook to your S7 and use data?

So which graphicscard can we expect for the 15 inch -it should be from AMD right- and to which nvidia card can we compare the AMD card?

I seriously doubt it is a quad-core part. The Surface Studio specifically lists that's it's a Quad-core 6th gen chip, but the Surface Book i7 only states it's a 6th Gen Core i7. No mention of cores at all.
