So Apple just now delayed the release of their flagship product. That is the EarPods. Since they are willing to delay such an important product I'm afraid they are also capable of delaying secondary products like computers and such. You know like MBPs. Ugh.

i doubt the MBPs are being delayed. if they where the event wont be happening tomorrow.

What are you talking about? Everyone is saying the 480M. AMD is rumored to be supplying that very chip. What would he the substitute?
Is this a thread only rumor or something?
I am telling you, with 100% certainty, that it will not use the 480M. That will be present on one of the 27" iMac models.

any guess on what resolution the MB 13 will have compard to MBP 13? I really hope its not the ****** 2650x1600 which has an affective desktop of 1280x800 .... which is just too small... and non retina modes are crappy and choppy.
rumors say the resolutions will remain the same, which is just plain laughable.
i'm using a 2010 "hi-res" 15" macbook pro, at that time you could choose to upgrade from 1440x900 to 1680x1050 for a hundred bucks. those were the money best spent. i am never going back to a computer with reduced screen estate.

Personally, key travel is not an issue, it's getting used to keys being more close together. I haven't tried it for more than 5 minutes either, so I can't really say whether I like it or not.

Engadget usually have a really nice live blog with photos and comments.
They aren't really closer together.

Much has been said about the keys having less travel. Here's a perspective...

I grew up with mechanical windows desktop keyboards that had quite a bit of travel. Then when I got my Powerbook, I preferred those over the mechanical desktop ones after some time. With my current MBP I use it as my *main* keyboard even when connected with an external monitor and it sits right below my monitor with my laptop screen as a secondary screen below the monitor. I love it.

But I have seen many and still see some cling on to the loud clicking keyboards with so much travel that you would have thought that these people grew up with typewriters. So there will be a few (or perhaps many) that don't like this idea of less travel keyboards. But I wonder if a school kid today would ever complain of this new 'change' of keyboard designs.

To me at-least, it appears like less travel at first may be annoying but over time improves your typing. That said, I shudder to think of the day when other younger people would mock me using a 'clicker' keyboard when the new thing is all about using 'travelless keyboards' :) Let's hope that day is far far away!

It looks like they are to me?
Yeah, I said really because it depends what you mean. The keys haven't been positioned closer together, they are just larger. However, the gap between the keys is smaller so you could say they are closer together.

I predict a 480M still. Tomorrow.
You'll be disappointed if that's what you're hoping for. I'm not predicting a GTX 1050, I'm just saying that it will not have an RX 480M. I'd be surprised if it has a dGPU at all actually.

If it does have a solid dGPU, it will make me overlook the negatived of the keyboard/Magic Toolbar.

If you use photoshop, I'm sure it is. Outside of that, I don't see a benefit. Which is pretty sad as Apple hasn't done anything for the Photoshop crowd. Photoshop used to be a staple for Apple products. Anyone that I knew of the last 10 years that wanted to use Photoshop would prefer it on an Apple device. Looks like Microsoft's surface line has changed their minds.
I made the switch to Affinity Photo and I think it's better. And far more affordable.

For me it is. I tried it for 5 minutes and I did not like it at all.
Because trying something new for 5 minutes is the best way to decide whether you like it or not.

I didn't like it when I first tried it. But I kept at it. I was at the table in the Apple Store for more than 15 minutes, just typing on it. It felt great afterwards. I tried the normal keyboard on the MBP, and it felt weird again. For a few days I really missed the low travel. Then I got used to a normal keyboard again. My point, though, is that it takes time to get used to it, but once you do get used to it, it's great!
