Tethering is disabled on the mobile plan and I can't jailbreak because of work's email system. Yeah, I work for local government...
Polaris 11 (desktop RX460) - comparable to GTX 1050 (if Apple receives the second revision, it will be closer to GTX 1060 - depends on chosen TDP)
If it's not then I don't understand how they can justify that incredible price.
I am gonna do the same. Just will wait until Friday, order it online and pick up in the nearest store. I pray the God that they will have my configuration , and I won't have to wait for it 5 days more.
Well right now there is no GPU that could be in the MacBook Pro, unless they have an exclusive deal with AMD. The iGPU should handle that fine since it is the Iris Pro 580 and that is supposedly better than the current dGPU option.
You'll be able to plug in an external one so it shouldn't matter that much for gaming, assuming you are plugged in/at a desk. Having said that, I really hope they don't drop the dGPU option.
The 480m has been rumoured for the 15". Probably similar to the 965m in terms of performance, but the 480 has a lower TDP, meaning it will likely see better prolonged performance. The 965, especially in that surface book is going to throttle like hell.

5 minutes isn't really long enough to get used to it. On first impressions it can seem horrible, although I found it to feel more mechanical despite the lack of travel... probably due to the steel dome switch.
For sure. But that MBP will cost like 3000 USD here... And that's *a bit* too much.
That's why I was incredibly disappointed today. The products themselves are quite good, but the pricing is absurd. The pricing for Microsoft's surface line makes Apple like like a bargain computer shop.

That would be interesting to know. I just assumed it was the same 15W i7 used in the current version but with a beefed up DGPU (ie 965M).
Microsoft is as tightlipped about revealing their key specs (ie something as basic as the processor model) as Apple is with the ipads/phones in revealing the amount of RAM.
It wouldn't be the 480M because that doesn't exist yet.
I don't know where you've seen it rumored, although I don't doubt that because the truth is nobody has a clue what graphics card they'll put in the 15", if they choose to put one in that it.
Also, when it is released there is no way Apple would use it because they reserve the higher end GPUs for iMacs only.
They're always trying to copy Apple in a very stupid way. How can one pre-order a laptop without knowing CPU specs?
What are you talking about? Everyone is saying the 480M. AMD is rumored to be supplying that very chip. What would he the substitute?
Personally, key travel is not an issue, it's getting used to keys being more close together. I haven't tried it for more than 5 minutes either, so I can't really say whether I like it or not.

any guess on what resolution the MB 13 will have compard to MBP 13? I really hope its not the ****** 2650x1600 which has an affective desktop of 1280x800 .... which is just too small... and non retina modes are crappy and choppy.

So Apple just now delayed the release of their flagship product. That is the EarPods. Since they are willing to delay such an important product I'm afraid they are also capable of delaying secondary products like computers and such. You know like MBPs. Ugh.
