No convertible, no buy. (probably not)
With kabylake and the knowledge it has with its two OSes based on the same code Apple has all it needs to do an awesome convertible.
But they wont because wow magic bar and buy-button, soe courageous, many awesome.
I wish I'd never gotten used to OSX and its fancy UI.

It really does feel like Christmas Eve. I'm getting all giddy just thinking about it!
The only certainty is the huge wave of salty disappointement flooding these forums in a about a day.
WANT: Macbook Pro 13 with 2880x1800 retina wide gamut display, 16 gb , i7 quad core with iris pro and 256GB as base for $1399
Apple will offer: Macbook Pro 13 with 2560x1600 retina, 8 gb , i5 dual core with iris and 128GB ssd as base with buttershit KB for $1799

But its going to lose all the useful ports and be 2mm thinner and a bit lighter. And dont forget the magic bar. Such progress...
Maybe they could work some thermal magic and fit in a 6770HQ throttled down to 35w. Only 7w higher than the 28w chips they'd likely use
I highly doubt even Apple would charge $1,799 for a 128GB MBP. I would say $1,499, if 128GB is even offered for the redesigned MBP. Even the Retina MacBook features a minimum of 256GB these days.
I'm still hyped, but I just really want a 15" with dGPU, 32 GB of memory, wide-gamut display, and another color option. If it has all of those I will be very very happy

I seem to remember there being UK layouts available. He could Give Apple Support a call to confirm (if happy with that layout of course!)
