Show me a leaked 6850HQ with Intel 580 then I'll get excited. Intel has been releasing the lower CPUs like clockwork from beginning. The high-end quad core i7s have yet to be seen. All the PC manufacturers are just using the baseline 6700HQ. They can of course, get away with it since they are using dGPUs anyway.

Wrong CPU. Intel ARK has the 6267U, not the 6567U.

Drivers and it being a test machine would be my guess. The 6GB of RAM screams some type of prototype logicboard.

The sad part is, Apple choosing to go with a more thermally constrained design and just letting the CPU throttle is totally Apple-like. Probably the number one reason why I'm partially scared of a new redesign.

Well, 1st generations of new Apple designs don't always have the all problems worked out—but, I think a fan-less design like the MacBook could, potentially, have a nice long service life.

Though a 28Watt part in a fanless design seems like a tight squeeze.

Hi guys,

First time poster and interested in acquiring my first ever Macbook pro - Seeing as a new model is in the horizon I've been doing my best to avoid an impulse buy for now...

I've been following the topic for a while now and haven't seen this being brought up:
- What is the general opinion for pricing? I really know nothing on Mac prices, do these change at all during the lifecycle of the product? Should I expect to fork out more than what the current models are priced at?

Thanks.

Hey ,
im new here!
just cant wait the new macbook pro to come.. !

When actually do you believe new macbook pro comes?
March event OR june event?

Nobody knows. Just wait it out. There haven't been any leaks rumors with solid information yet. So everybody's opinion here is just like Pin The Tail On The Donkey, except there's no donkey to pin.

But about the price, I wouldn't have a clue. Maybe somebody else would know

I'm starting to wonder if this wait isn't some sick marketing ploy on the part of intel and apple. Weak upgrade
June of 15 using old Haswell chip then stall until June or later of 2016 to maximize profits on old tech.

I think they would gain quite the bad reputation there if they did so. So hopefully a dick move like that won't happen. But hey Apple's all about that sweet $$$$

First sight of 28W Skylake-U: Core i7-6567U 2C/4T (3.3-3.6GHz) + Iris Graphics 550 (1100MHz + 64MB eDRAM)

Exciting for sure. Not only improved CPU performance & platform features but also the first time GT3e hits a 13'' Macbook. Graphics performance should be much better than current Core i7-5557U models thanks to eDRAM.

Ps: Don't take the rest of the specs or the score too seriously, this is clearly a prototype.

How do you know this primelabs test refers to new MacBook Pro ?
Is this for sure ?

Another breaking news!!!

According to the post on the most famous Chinese Apple forum feng.com (already exposed a lot of REAL rumors)
Yes we have updates of Macbook, Macbook Air, and 13'' Macbook Pro in early 2016
The previous two will get routine updates, nothing special to mention
And the new 13'' Pro is going to be slightly thinner with a longer battery life, the keyboard and screen is getting closer to the 12'' Mabook

And, this is not the end of the story

The most exciting and shocking update this year will be the new 15'' and 13'' Pro (which made the previous 13'' a transitional product) with a whole new re-design (of course gold and space grey) with hidden keyboard shortcut (could be verified by the patent of 3d-touch on keyboard)
Which will happen later this year (details are not determined)

There is no evidence or something for his words
You can choose to believe or not (I don't want to angue, I'm also a bystander)
But it's already the 2nd time that I've seen the similar post on different Chinese websites
The 1st one was post on zhihu.com in Nov. last year
And the two posts can be exactly corroborated

Full of expectation right now... ;)

I'm not sure if I understand that. Did he mean that it's going to be two rMBP 13 versions? One at early 2016 thiner with new keyboard, and then in late 2016 another one completely new re-design also with colours?

Because that's doesn't make much sense for me (unless both early and late rMBP 13 are the same product).
