Lots of UK people complaining - should see NL pricing! It gets exponentially more expensive than the UK...

So here's what I went with. Probably overkill for what I will use it for but I want this one to last. Please let me get some feedback and curious to see what you guys went with!
Just noticed they have increased their price across all lines in the UK to make up for the weaker pound.
Pretty audacious to increase prices of products which haven't been in updated in years purely because of a weak currency. I can walk into a John Lewis tomorrow (assuming they werent in on the act) and pick up any of the Macs bar the new Pro cheaper than Apple.
Never have I felt so disillusioned with Apple (and Brexit, but that's another story). They've created a decent update to the MBP and then gimped it with the amount of RAM and obscene prices. It's more of a kicker when I think the 2012" refresh was probably the best Mac they have ever made.

Knowing Apple they'll probably update it with 32 gigs next year, but nope, no more waiting. 16 it is. Still double what I had last time, plus I'm getting max graphics so at least it won't eat into the memory.

Guys I need help. I need a new laptop but I can't spend insane amounts of money. I live in a country where the only laptops I can buy are dell/acer/asus/apple. I've waited a year for the macbook, but I can't afford it. Acer and asus are crap. I dislike dell trackpads. Can't get a surfacebook in my country. But I also hate touch screen laptops.
I see no way out of this. I'll just go cry in a corner. My day couldn't end any worse after several serious letdowns and financial blows in the face.

what i'm most impressed though is that trackpad on the 15". it's HUGE! it's like an ipad mini! lol
Oh well. I'm disappointed but I need macOS for dev work and my current laptop is almost dead. It will be a solid performance boost over my old one but I was hoping for more RAM, better graphics and a more reasonable price
