Not at all. If you remove the VAT it is actually cheaper than the US. I'll probably get mine from the UK :)

Good luck with your shipping charges, insurance and claiming if damage or loss occurs in transit.
UK 3 pin plug and hassle explaining to US genius it was sourced from the UK in the event of a claim.
You might not be smiling then.

Wow, I am probably going for the base high-end 15 model + radeon 460. It's going to be about $800 over what I was planning to spend tho... :(

fellow Italians (and @WRONG), we won't see many of there puppies around at these prices :D

what i'm most impressed though is that trackpad on the 15". it's HUGE! it's like an ipad mini! lol

I really don't care about OLED. Absolutely not impressed, nothing to compare with MS Studio (that's really impressive, seriously), so I'll be perfectly satisfied with a basic 13" with no OLED at the same price of the 2015! :)

Waited all this time for Skylake and ended up getting Kaby Lake. Spectre x360 was $1155 with discount, 7500U i7, 16GB RAM, and 512GB NVMe SSD. Have fun with the Fn keyboard. I'm sure I'll come crawling back when I can't figure out how to get sound to work on the x360 in linux. My indignation is high today, maybe it will come down by Black Friday.

then what happen to the key that was being mapped to? not a good solution

do you mean i can replicated the function of the ESC key with a shortcut combination?

No. You can change the function of the modifier keys, and this includes escape (go to keyboard...modifier keys.) So you could change the caps lock to esc.

It doesn't compare to the 2015 13 inch though. Its got a 2ghz processor, its more like a retina MacBook Air.

I can confirm it too. I do assignment-based photography and video work in the field about 150 days out of the year. I needed this laptop to be a beast for my work in the field, whereas back at home I turn things over to my 32 GB iMac. I can't believe that Apple would release such a forward-thinking laptop that does not have enough RAM for what I do today, let alone 2 years from now.

Sorely disappointed.

I reckon 32Gb will come with the 2017 Kaby Lake MBP, as that`s how Apple rolls...

Q-6

After about 30 minutes of soul searching I Ordered the top 15" with the upgraded processed and graphics card 1tb hd.

The dGPU was a no brained for me.
The processor have to think a bit about
The HD felt like a heart attack, I was dead certain to get 2tb but for $800 over the 1tb I couldn't do it.

My biggest let down would be the ram stuck at 16gb but at least it's ddr4. Next would be the older dGPUs was really hoping for something this year. I'm not surprised by the CPUs because no one else has them either.

Anyone's order go into processing yet? I was in a rush and completely forgot to use my education discount. Been at least an hour and still not in processing yet so I can cancel and re-order.

Wonder what happened to the iris pro 580
Agreed.

After all the discussion on it here, I thought it was a foregone conclusion Apple would have a flavor with that in it.

How is the Radeon better? (beyond, I'm assuming, faster because it's a dGPU vs GPU)

The Apple Store app says it's DDR3. Anyone got more info on this?

I can't do much with just my phone right now.
