The 27 inch 5k iMac is miles better value than any of these laptops. 5k display, GPU is not far off the same level, supports 64 gb RAM.
I'm tossing whether to get the 13" with i5 2.9 GHz vs i7 upgraded ($300 premium!). I do want the best performance but for $300??
Guys whether your pissed or not about MBP pls spread some cheer to the Mac Pro crowd, they're really hurting ATM.

I thought about it but only if they released updated ones today. Ordered the 15" but ready to press cancel anytime ... that pricetag
Funny how many of us ordered but are willing to cancel. I wonder what's going to sway us to keep the order or get rid of it?
Or do we just take it and if it's not worth the price we send it back?

I actually looked if I could cancel just so that I could reorder a silver version. Hah.
I went space gray for the order but then I thought back at all of the numerous MacBook pro's i've had over the years and how all of them were silver. I just can't decide

I bought a 5k iMac last year it was more expensive than most of these notebooks but It was great value. I upgraded the RAM myself to 32gb its got a great 5k display which still costs a fortune in a standalone display.
Its also got a decent keyboard

Found it odd that they said it's time for the 'mac', and then talked about the MacBooks only. They completely bailed on the iMac and kicked the MacPro/MacMini crowd in the nuts.
Yeah, I think some of those guys would've been happy with at least TB3 newer GPUs or whatever, something to show that they were still interested not dead silence.
