They have a point: Macs' dGPUs have been gimped for years.
Now a days, Apple designs their computers for consumers and professionals, not for gaming, autocad, VR, etc. Apple favors form and tidiness over brute power. I agree with that vision, as it is more mainstream and it fits better with their target market.
I dont see Apple going back to powerful dGPUs any time soon.

Unreliable but still fun to read for those of hoping for a March release

Just for little interest, here is first Kaby Lake GPU from Intel 4.5W CPU compared to GTX 850M.
https://gfxbench.com/compare.jsp?benchmark=gfx40&did1=28877422&os1=Windows&api1=dx&hwtype1=GPU&hwname1=Intel(R)+Kabylake+HD+Graphics+ULX+GT2&D2=NVIDIA+GeForce+GTX+850M
Pretty darn close.
Yea, if you WHOIS these websites they're all registered under the very same shell corp that Apple uses for patents.Plot twist: all of these websites have been right all along: Latinos Health, Ecumenical News, ChristianToday. All of them. When Tim Cook walks out with the OLED, touchscreen, removable keyboard MacBook Pro with a powerful Core M processor, he'll be like, "What do you mean there were no rumors?"
Engineering samples. It is just like every other benchmark site, that have remote database of scores. That's not trustable. How have they access to Kaby Lake CPU when we varely know nothing about Skylake's Iris 550 and Iris Pro 580?
:insert I don't belive you gif here:
But if it's true... and Apple waits until June for the update, they are going to be a lot behind in performance than other Kaby Lake devices that will be out in September...

Skylake MBP's are going to be announced in March event surely, this can be seen from huge discount running on all the products.
Moreover, the Skylake processor's are available now.
Whole Mac line is outdated, they will announce other Mac products at wwdc to remove confusion and cannibalization.
The only reason we are not getting any leaks is because they are going to ship/release them later like April or start of may.
I don't think discounts are as telling as when reports leak out that the inventory is "constrained." If they do update to skylake, I think the reason we are not getting any leaks is because there is no redesign, which strikes me as being a little strange.
You are forgetting the MAC PRO announcement, when mac pro was redesigned, apple announced it at wwdc and then it was released in November.
Obviously, this time they are going to release within a month or 2.
The Dell is tempting, and I'm starting to use Windows way more than Mac at the moment. I no longer code and take photos. Most of the software I need is already coded, and most of the pictures are taken. I still like to review the code and look at the photos on a great screen.
