Touchscreen laptops are so ***** dumb. Just like my first LG Cookie phone I had which had a stylus. It was completely unnececsary as the screen was so ****, you were just better off using your finger.
I feel the exact same way about touchscreen laptops, except it's flipped around.
With immensely small areas, like the top menu bar on a mac, you would have to press several times just to click it in the right place.
Then move your hand out of the way cause you cant see anything, then repress whatever option it is you were looking for, repeat process of getting your hand out of the way multiple times and touching your screen again.
At this point you have been holding your arm up for at least 30 seconds to a minute and now your arm is feeling heavy so you put it down and use the trackpad anyways, which would have saved you alot of time and the discomfort in the first place.
The only useful application I see to having a touchscreen laptop is for programs like photoshop where you could draw with an Apple Pen just like on an iPad pro.
But like I said, using a touchscreen on a vertical screen is very uncomfortable, so ideally you would want the screen laying flat on the table in front of you like a piece of paper.
(dont even get me started on the hinge when using the screen)
And at this point the new rMBP has become a Surface book with a detachable screen because Johny Ive would realise that everything about a vertical touch screen, at an armlength away, isn't really intuitive and ergonomic after all....
Seems like a great innovative idea.
Jezus f*cking christ man.....
EDIT: I'm doing ok now, phew
