I sure hope so.

For those who are waiting for the proved-reliable insider's information on feng.com, sorry for the delay.
And here we go.
- We do have the 13'' update, and it'll be thinner than the 2015 version.
- The new 15'' MBP will come this fall with a re-design. New colors. New keyboard. Hidden functional keys. Touch screen. Much thinner.
- No MBA update temporarily.
- Earlier posts include the rose-gold NMB. But later he said it is postponed. (But the event is also postponed. Maybe it'll be a One More Thing?)
I don't know how you guys feel, but this arrangement sounds reasonable to me.
But, still, don't take it too seriously. The rumors about Macbook in feng.com now is also a mess. Those I picked are posted by the guys have hit it a lot of times before. Hope they don't miss it this time.
I get the 10 part but not the "yo".Nobody is gonna say anything about this?
Have they give us similar hints other times?
Well I've been saying 15" will be September release based on AMD's GPU release date, but of course fanatics have skewered me for such blasphemy."The new 15" MBP coming in the fall'
That would be just nuts...
10 year old.I get the 10 part but not the "yo".
The 15" is in a weird position.
Today a dedicated GPU wouldn't make any sense at all, Intel HD 580 has way lower TDP by probably more performance than today's options. Even if they would increase the TDP-limit and are able to fit a GTX960M inside, the performance boost wouldn't be noticeable, but you would have to sacrifice thermals, weight, battery life and a thinner/smaller redesign. Just not worth it.
If they want to keep the dedicated GPU, we will probably have to hold on for Polaris.
I completely agree. It depends on Apple's vision for the MBP line going forward. It's clear that they have up to now tried to steer a balanced path between decent graphics power, weight, noise and battery life. It hasn't been the machine to buy if you want to play the latest games, but it has been good enough for most purposes. It really does feel like the best way to continue that philosophy is to drop the dGPU.The 15" is in a weird position.

Yea, Spec bump in March, redesign in the fall. Makes sense to me!Well I've been saying 15" will be September release based on AMD's GPU release date, but of course fanatics have skewered me for such blasphemy.

What if we just consolidate the 13 inch and 15 inch into a 14 inch with Iris Pro 580 and Thunderbolt 3. That way we have 2 notebook lines, the MacBook with Core M processors (the thin and light, somewhat powerful) and the "beefy" 14 inch that has slightly reduced bezels. Is this possible/plausible?
^Nah, having options, and earning more money on higher end models will always be an apple thing. I highly doubt that they will converge the 2 in to 1 "do-it-all" laptop. Take the iPhones for example, they are offer a (soon to be) cheaper phone (the SE), than the 'regular' phone 6s, and the phablet 6s plus. They do this so that they can cover a larger consumer base, and not to have 1 product that might not appeal to alot of potential consumers.
I highly reccomend watching this interesting TEDtalk, which covers exactly this topic.

what is talking about in that video? im on the road and i cant watch it^
this.
And that's why I think that Apple will redesign but keep the MacBook Air.
As ol' good days, we'll have three lines:
- ultraportable but expensive: the MacBook
- entry level: the new MacBook something, portable but cheaper than the MB
- powerhouse: the MacBook Pro
i think its about spaghetti saucewhat is talking about in that video? im on the road and i cant watch itits about Macs?
