Just to speak, which size will you guys choose for you amazing shining new Skylake MBP?
I'll go with the 15".
Even if a little more "heavier" (o_O) than the 13", it's more powerful and I'm reeeeaaally tired of working on a 13" screen.

edit:

I just realized what Steve Jobs meant with "Stay hungry stay foolish."
He knew we would have waited for long time.

15 inch all the way baby.

The wait is getting to a point where it's starting to feel annoying again. I need some action to happen, choices to be made and factories to start plopping out Skylake rMBP's. Come on Intel, come on Apple, come on AMD...!

worst "that's what she said" insert.

The bigger one, whether that's a 14", 15" or 16".

I'll take a 15" with Iris Pro 580 at this point. My current dGPU puts outs ~650 gflops vs. Iris Pro 580's ~1000+ gflops. Insane.

Work and schoolwork is about to start picking back up for me, and my old 2012 MBP is getting tired.

Sometimes I like to look at this graph: http://top500.org/statistics/perfdevel/

It shows that the 500 most powerful supercomputers that were available in 1993 (combined) had comparable calculation capabilities to an iGPU in a laptop today.

That's so insane to think about! It really is incredible how far technology has come! I remember the good days with a huge monitor and a noisy & slow computer sitting under it, running windows 95.
And to think that an iPhone computer, that fits in your pocket, is sooo many times faster than a good ol'd PC, is something I never expected as a kid.

I know, it's old as the hills.
But as long as we're here still waiting
(that reminds me of a certain song btw)

Yeah, it's pretty crazy how far we've come.

This is one of my favourite comparisons..video game when Kobe entered the NBA and now when he's retiring...

what the current 15" mbp is capable of :p

I think they are going to update-redesign the low power consuption intel devices... rMB, rMBP13 and maybe mac mini. They are the only ones with available hardware and it's a "normal user" event... watches, phones, ultrabooks...

This way they would left more room for rMBP15, Mac Pro, Retina display and iOS / OS X at June which is the developer - more demanding user event.

That said I would love to see the rMBP15 updated and redesigned on Monday.

Razor Core officially announced @ $499. Preorders on now. http://www.razerzone.com/store/razer-core

LoL @ Endgadget.

Razer announced pricing and availability for its new Core external graphics box at GDC on Wednesday. The device is available for pre-order starting today and units will begin shipping in April. It will set you back $400 if purchased in tandem with a Blade Stealth or $500 if you buy it separately. But don't worry if you didn't take our advice and have already purchased a Blade Stealth, you'll still get the $100 discount.

The Core operates through a single Firebolt 3 (USB-C) plug to deliver both power and data (up to 40 Gbps) to the connected ultrabook. Plus, It supports double-wide, full-length, PCI-Express x16 card from AMD or NVIDIA -- that's four times the data bandwidth of what its rival, the Alienware Amplifier, offers. What's more, the Core will include four USB 3.0 ports and wired Ethernet connectivity. Note, you will need to buy a graphics card separately to stick into the Core. The following models will be compatible at launch:

Firebolt? New port type? :p Firewire Thunderbolt Hybrid? Whats next, MixtapePort?

Finally....!

My final prediction:

Apple will "announce" both 13 inch and 15 inch skylake macbook pros at March 21 event.

13inch will be available somewhere between late march and april

and 15 inch will be available in May

just like last year.

Now that I think of it, it does seem more likely that Apple would announce them rather than release them. That would also explain the extreme lack of any hard evidence suggesting a redesign at this point. Some sort of announcement would make me more comfortable waiting a couple of weeks. Knowing what design features to be excited about makes it a lot easier and further boosts the anticipation. I hope they don't disappoint, fingers crossed :p
