Waiting for Skylake MBP thread

Do you guys think the iris pro 580 will be able to handle revit and auto cad? I don't game and only use the architectural programs along with adobe products.
Also will the 13in have the pro 580? Would prefer to have the 13 > 15.

13" has Iris 550, 15" has Iris Pro 580 which equals GTX 950M or GTX 750 in performance.

I haven't come across any solid rumor as I have seen for the iPad Air-3 on any of the leading sites the verge, macrumors, 9to5mac no where so on what basis are you saying this ?

It's obvious that SKylake will be the next cpu for the mbp. Tb3/usb3 and ddr4 mem are only available through skylake

Looks like you didn't read my question correctly I am not doubting whether Skylake will come or not to the rMBP. I am saying will it be announced only on the 21st March i.e. Monday that is the key question I have !!

We have no evidence but the shipping date changes on the Apple homepage.

I'm on the same boat and I'm going to say yes! I remember a couple of years ago there where people on my class with old pentium laptops with the old iGPUs (much worse than the first Intel HD) using modern versions of ACAD for planing and 3D.

But just look at something more recent, this Surface Pro 3 with i7-4650U and HD5000

The thing is that this SP3 i7 chip performance will be match by the next Macbook 12 (lol) once they update it to Skylake M7 Core M. About the same CPU proccesing power with even better iGPU. So just imagine how well Autocad will run on the rMBP13 with the even better CPU/w Iris 550 or the rMBP15 with the even better better (xD) quad cores and Iris Pro 580

Some good old heathen northern style dialect, the dirty kind.
Normally we write bokmål, but for informal purposes like most social media we tend to rely on writing like we talk.

Nah we haven't put our hopes up (or down) yet. Slippages usually occur around 6-7AM PST - still a ways to go before we know what's what
